    The Brave's random fantasy plog

Hello everybody, I'm an old fgantasy warhammer player who, after a 15 years pause, is back in painting and stuff
Well, my primary focus is now only in painting, kitbashing and sculpting, mostly to have some miniatures to use in my D&D and other rpg sessions.
My favourite hobby at the moment is kitbashing, and the random bits bag I got from e-bay are a great help.

My painting skills are not great, but my focus is to have some miniatures tabletop ready.

In this plog you will mostly see orcs, goblins, heroes, undeads, repainted toys and some very random stuff.

So, let's start with some old school stuff (and I mean old in more of a way, they were painted 15 years ago).
These are the party heroes miniatures usually chosen by my players.

Well, one is recent, the dwarf was painted a couple of years ago.

    Time for something more recent.
Mining in my bits box I found enough pieces to make 3 gnomes. I never understood why warhammer lacks gnomes.
Goblin legs, goblin or zombie bodies, dwarfs and empire parts, plus some backpacks I have no idea where they came from.

Oh the nostalgia I had a few of those wood elf archers and highelf spearmen when I was little. The gnoes are cute I think I saw something similar with goblin faces+ dwarf beards some years ago. But judging by your total 5 posts I'm guessing that wasnt you But either way they're adorable

Very interesting. I really like these old minis, and the effort put by you to bring them full glory! And the gnomes... Goblins with beards, such an original idea!

    My humble plog.
A generic human low fantasy army, with lots of conversions and kitbashing.

Well, I'm not the first one to use goblin head with dwarfs' beards http://www.chaos-dwarfs.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=11869

But i wanted something less bulky for my gnomes.

Re: The Brave's random fantasy plog

Following my quest to find the cheaper miniature possible for my tabletop game I found a couple of vending machine toys.
After some very basic sculpting I got a nice, but a little fat, dragon for a couple of bucks.
Also, I'm sure the head was inspired (copied) from the classic D&D black dragon pictures.

Re: The Brave's random fantasy plog

More kitbashes, this time no goblin parts (I still have a lot of these, better make some goofy goblins), but I think it's a nice result.

A friend of mine asked me where I found the mask, but I have no idea, it was in a bits bag. Can you help me?

I think that the mask might be an Bretonnian archer bannertop bit.

Nice to know, here 3 knights and 2 peons.

I admit, not my best paintjob, but they are still funny.

Re: The Brave's random fantasy plog

    Thanks ^^

I still have a lot of goblins to shw, but for now I take a break.

I have lots of dwarf parts, but no bodies, so I'm trying to learn how to sculpt. Here my first attempts.

Also a dwarf on a generic monster made from a mammoth toy and a t-rex toy (Dinofroz).

    More pictures here.

Re: The Brave's random fantasy plog

I used the leftover body of the trex toy to make this giant squig, plus some random bits to make the goblin on top. The result is pretty derpy looking, I need to improve my sculpting skils.

A lot of interesting conversions, but the gobbo knights are my favourite hands down! Got a name for their order? They could be... the order of the rusted chamber pot?

Re: The Brave's random fantasy plog

Unfortunately someone stole "Gobotonnia" (btw, great conversion, check that army), that was a great name.

For a name, I don't know. The idea was born only because I had around bretonnia and goblin pieces.

I actualy see them as pure heart goblins, not mochering Bretonnia's Ideals but embracing them, only with a little more violence. So maybe "The Holy Order of the Gud Boyz", or "We are Gud Now, Really!", or "Sorry for all the killing" or something like that.

Or, less stupid, the Lutin Order. Yeah, I like this one.
