Has hell frozen over? Have you seen any pigs flying by lately? Because GW has just released two Lake-town bundles at pretty deep discounts. Full warbands of Lake-town Guard or Lake-town Militia (4 blisters) at 30-35% off compared to purchasing them seperately. Quite useful for figures that you want to bring in large numbers. Here's hoping similar packs for Mirkwood Elves or Gundabad Orcs are to follow...

I think Ive heard murmurs about similar bundles for other armies, yeah... though it mightve been wishful thinking.

It started as wishful thinking, but has by now been turned into reality: the resin Gundabad Orcs are now also available as a warband pack at a hefty discount:

Perfectly timed to coincide with the Forge World Gundabad upgrade pack that has also finally been put up for pre-order: https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-NL/G...grade-Set-2017

In other news, there are some conflicting reports as to the next releases for the game, being the long-awaited Battle Companies expansion (think Mordheim for Middle-earth) and a pack with counters and scenarios. Both were originally scheduled for release sometime this year, may have been delayed to early 2018, but are simultaneously marked for release in winter 2017 (at Spiel Essen). We'll just have to wait and see...

Damn it! Is this only available in the UK? I can't find it in the US store.

    Should be there now?

Pre-orders always go up at a fixed time, so will be available first in Australia and Kiwiland, then Europe, UK and a couple hours later in the USA and Canada. Think it's around 10 in the morning or thereabouts.

    EDIT: Yup, https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US...09193860000%5D

Yes! I just got an email from GWUS with the pre-order announcement. I checked the website an it's up now. The discount makes me glad I kept putting off ordering any of the Gundabad Orcs. Now, time to place my order!

Excellent! And for those who don't collect the armies which currently have discounted packs, the Warhammer Community page (https://www.warhammer-community.com/...le-earth-army/) has an interesting message: "If you don’t collect Azog’s Legion or Lake-town, worry not! More warbands may well be on the way…"
Almost certainly Mirkwood then, but it sounds as if yet more packs could follow.

Well, Mirkwood has indeed been given a tasty discount, now also released as a warband bundle (4 shield, 4 glaive, 4 bow).

In other news, an updated FAQ has been released just minutes ago: https://www.warhammer-community.com/...le-earth-faqs/

Nice figure, and I'll probably pick one up the next time I place an order. The old GW Kamul the Easterling is still a good figure, though, and comes as both foot and mounted.

Yeah, I always liked the old Khamul too - this one may just be a bit much. Upcoming White Dwarf has another three (thanks to a member of the German HTL community), and the left one (Dark Headsman) looks fantastic IMO. Could make for good Black Nśmenórean Marshalls too perhaps.

Those do look quite sweet. Headsman particularly.
