    BFG reborn like Bloodbowl?

When/if do people reckon we can look forward to a rebirth of what is arguably GWs greatest game?

I know 2017 is the year of Adeptus Titanicus, but what about after that?

The success of the PC game must be some indication that a community still exists for it, and the possibilities of 30k/40k tie in cant be lost on GW.

I suppose we have to ask what other games are possible contenders.
Blood Bowls success would lead one to assume GW would be interested in more specialist games. Besides the Titan punch up game, what else could they release. I'm sure I've read about Necromunda somewhere. Has Mordheim been floated, or Warmaster?

I would add a nice layer to campaign games, and doesn't require a massive number of or range of models.

Inquisitor could also be thrown into the specialist mix. I would think that Battle Fleet Gothic would be the top of the contenders for the next release. When? Now that is a good question.

I would have thought a skirmish box box instead. BFG is a departure in scale and range from the current line up in a way that Bloodbowl isn't.

That means 40k inquisitor (look at all the coverage JB gets in white dwarf for his groups games), necromunda, etc...

Adeptus Titanicus is also a new scale (apparently even from the original) so i don't thinbk scale will stop BFG's return (Inquisitor i think might change scale just because of ease of converting and using existing terrain).

The BFG PC game was a solid success so i think that will help a great deal. And the background and lore and novels of 40k and the Horus Heresy has so many space battles i think they will recognise the uses in narrative and strategic campaigns and the general desire for it. After all the recent Fall of Cadia book shows relevance.

I am certain BFG will be back.

I pray Battlefleet Gothic never comes back. I love Battlefleet Gothic, and it will always be my favourite wargame of all time, but I don't want it to return anymore. Over the last three years GW has proven to me that whatever thing they put out wearing Battlefleet Gothic's logo, it will not be the same game and model range I fell in love with years ago.

If they were to do a painstakingly restored re-release of it EXACTLY how it was, right down to the metal ship models, and left it permamently available, then I would be overjoyed. But I know that isn't going to happen, so I'd rather it stay out of GW's gaze.

Well, metal, plastic or resin doesn't matter really. And I do wish for an updated rulebook (since the official 1.5 version which was sold was ridden with mistakes) if they do a new release.

The worst thing they could do is to create a different kind of scale.

I think it's quite likely to come back, given the success of Blood Bowl and the strong fan base. I think it has always been described as one of GWs most technically brilliant games, people are eager for it to come back.

    I have my doubts.
But you never know. I do love the game but I think the community interest is gone

It would be good if it did come back and you never know. There seems to be interest in this kind of game again.

There are rumours GW will do something called 'Battlefleet Heresy', basically BFG set in the Horus Heresy.

BFG is already back in some ways. Andy Chambers was principal in BFG and now he is Principal in Dropfleet Commander

I would love to see it come back and think it has more of a business leg then Necro or Mord, as you aren't likely to be invested in a handful of models. I'd love to play my DE fleet again and I'd love to see an updated Tau fleet. The original ships were ugly but the FW looked ok.

I also wish they would return to Gothic. They were the best looking models that they ever produced and even though they are in the 40K universe not a Pink Horror in sight...
