Re: "We are but pawns of the Great Game" A Warhammer Quest Tale

The rain of the storm battered the stone slabs of the graveyard relentlessly. The Sounds of the howling winds were faint mumurs the further the companions crept down the dust filled steps, untouched in decades. until now...

The catacombs were candle lit, the dancing flames created shadows flickering across the narrow stairway. The light footed elf notched a arrow into her bow as the Bretonnian Knight kept his shield arm raised in case of an ambush from the dark. The Sister Cleric came last reciting a prayer.

The weekend came and gone, rain rain and more rain fell no garden, no outing and no wife (at work) so while the cat is away, the house becomes our playground.

Its is lol but I made sure the height was just right to fit into rectangle plastic boxes, the ones you can get in poundstretcher 3 for 10. the current ones built all fit into one box nd I got room for four boxes in my wardrobe and if in need of more space, the boxes fit under the bed aswell.

As with the spinning board forest themed idea i've been looking at ways which allows me long term to expand into different ideas, so which I do as basic will allow me in the future to try different more advance ideas.

ok that sounder better in my head than reading back to myself but here it goes.

each tile will have three layers, the outer being the actual tiles that andy makes and a piece of mdf in the middle. This will be the principle of the bottom and middle layer. the top layer will be just tiles.

Now for my first challenge I want to do the old fashion spike pit, so the middle layer I be cutting away a section to add depth under the tile layer which will allow me to either model or place the spike pit card piece into the slot. the underneath of the tile will have a magnet glued to it so using a magnet pen I can pick up the tile with ease during the game to expose the trap.

By making multiple holes like this will allow me to change traps each quest rather than the players knowing where the traps are I can change which one goes off on each quest by jotting it down on notes so players don't think I'm just setting it off on purpose they can see I pre plan a specific trap to go off for that said tile.

For future ideas I always wanted to try using model water, so by cutting away part of the tile I can plan to make a river lake themed tile we see how this progress as we go on but fingers cross.

if I do a river troll event then the troll while in the water, his movement wont be effected but his attacks to players on land be -1.
if a player stumbles into water one square from land tile -1 movement or if he does a face plant or knock into the water by a beast attack loses two actions I don't know haven't thought about it much....lol

Another Note Simon and I have nearly wrap up the design for the middle part of the 3D board so I be getting that soon and be able to start working on the different "theatre backdrops" with different bits I've picked up.
