Rise of the VIIth Legion (Heresy Era Iron Fists)

I bought a Betrayal at Calth box last week, after a lot of weeks of chat with some 30K friend players. Ive always loved the Imperial Fists armours, but they seemed too difficult to paint. Ive made a few tests and i think that ive managed to reach a relative fast and easy way to paint those damned yellow colours.

This is my very first Imperial Fists marine, and from this ill build my 30K army.

Critics and comments are always welcome. Please, keep in mind that this miniature was a scheme test and that its just a tactical marine and i need to paint these units fast.

Very nice yellow, it's imo a difficult colour to paint.

As yesterday i didnt have a lot of time to paint, i decided to work on a small conversin ive been thinking a few weeks. Here you have my Betrayal at Calth converted Contemptor Dreadnaught:

I think that the original model is very static and i wanted to give him a bit of movement.

Always good to see some more Sons of Dorn! I'd work on those Contemptor legs though. Right now he looks like he's falling forward.

I noticed they're referred to as "Iron Fists" in Pharos for some reason, but at that time the armour is referred to as black, so I assumed it was a mistake and they meant Iron Hands.

What's the deal with the moniker?

Nice work! I think the twist in the torso sells the forward sprint though in an ideal world there would be a bit of a bend in the leading leg. Still, cracking work
