    Anyone else thought the repeater crossbows looked huge?

    Nope, the combiened map will be scaled down compared to the grand campaign maps. It was to be expected anyway, when they said the surface you can conquer in both grand campaigns is roughly the same, even though Lustria+Naggaroth are like way way way bigger than the Old World, it obviously meant the two Grand Campaigns aren't the same scale to begin with, so they wouldn't just combine the two.
    Such a large map would be unplayable anyway.

    Well they said that some of the areas in the new world would not fit due to them being forced to tilt the new world in order to make it fit.
    It will still be a huge map tho, not the exact same size as both of them would be together in their actual size but still gonna be huge.

    Well, Lustria + Naggaroth are bigger, but large chunks of both are pretty irrelevant.

    Wait... so the combined map will have roughly the same amount(ish) of provinces as just one grand map? Sad times...

    No it is not.
    For example, Lustria has areas that are further south then what the current map has. So if they went for a 1:1 scale so to speak of the map then it wouldn't look right.
    So what they did was tilt the new world so that it aligns itself better with the old world. Naturally this means that some of the provinces gets pushed off the map and of course a few minor factions will not be in to improve turn-times.
    So the combined map will not be a true 1:1 scale of them both but the map itself will be bigger then the current old world map(they said it would still be huge) and have more provinces.

    I don't get it, why not just do what empire total war did and have them erm... phased? You know in different 'screens'

    My guesses/opinion:
    1) That game already has long enough loading screens, no need to add more; if you decided to go back and forth multiple times between, dunno, Ulthuan and your settlement on the Bretonnian coast, methinks after one hour you'd just delete the game out of pure hatred, then toss your computer through the window, just to be sure the game is dead and stays dead.
    2) different scales. Might be faster to go from Naggaroth to south Lustria than Kislev to Miragliano. It's like those in Lustria would warp compared to those in the Old World that would try and reach the Southlands.
    3) just not as cool as one big map

    I for one am welcoming the smaller scale for the combined map, the Old World map in game 1 is way too big and empty. I assume they're going to remove factions, which I won't like, but that's something mods will probably fix.

    And to be honest, the AI couldn't handle the 3 different maps in Empire.
    Mean if England had a province then yeah, the AI would do something but if you kicked out for example I think it was the dutch that had provinces in the India map, they would never return. Like the AI couldn't handle getting troops over 1 map to the other.
    Naturally the AI has improved since then but then again, so has the graphics engine if they can make the map bigger then it will be easier for the AI.

    Anyone getting the launcher won't start problem with current total war warhammer? i'm 418 hours played but now I can't launch the game, tried uninstalling everything and reinstalling, tried the lobotomy fix, updated drivers, still no fix.
