Agreed, the Forester is the best of the bunch!

I get a big Albion vibe from the colour scheme and I'm loving it.

Love the conversion work, love the painting. They must seem like giants after painting 28mm historical figures.

    The Exile, Casimir Hildebrand.

"Well of course they decided to chuck him out. If he wasn't poking around with one sword he'd be poking around with the other. Far too eager to please the ladies of Hightown with his sword skills. None cared about the duelling, a common pastime of the brash young men of Hightown, but attempting to sow his oats with the magistrates daughter was a step too far. The families agreed the appropriate sentence and the magistrate administered it. He was given fair time to sort his affairs. He never came to apologise to me for the shame he brought on the family name, though the little oik did help himself to a set of my ceremonial armour! No doubt his mother helped, far too soft on him she is.......... A year in exile will do the lad some good. I've heard stories of him prancing around the woods playing at being a hero with some other ne'er-do-wells.......... Seems like poppycock to me, he's probably propped up against some bar at a grotty tavern in the back of beyond......

~Tobias Hildebrand, Head of the Hildebrand Family, Father of Casimir.

Re: Tales & Treatise of the Grünvale.

King Cadhan, Head of Clan Lorcan, ruler of the Sciathabran Tribe.

By all ancient accounts, King Cadhan was the last living king of the Sciathabran Tribe, and by more modern myths, it’s first revenant king. While many undead creatures of the Tosaigh Fein have been observed, catalogued and verified as existing, only fantastical tales from imaginative adventurers point to Cadhan still walking the lands. While not unbelievable, I have yet to receive or observe any verifiable proof. Historical texts recount a king pushed to extremes during The Great Storm, a man that would do anything to protect his kin, a warrior king leading the charge into the malefic tide that sought to sweep the land of order. But all his heroism accounted for nothing as his kingdom fell to Chaos’s predations, drowned in gore and blood, alone, while his allies rallied to the Fyrdhathan to make their final stand……..

~ Excerpt from Lorne Von Wilhelms “Exposition on The Tosaigh Fein”. Addendum: As one of those “imaginative adventurers” that provided the author with a number of accounts and introduced him to many useful contacts, I can swear on my dear mother’s life to the existence of Cadhan, and that the author is an ungrateful bore. ~Jhez Al’Waide

    The Revenant Kingdom

The dead have never rested easy in the Grünvale and the surrounding regions, from the Chillspite Vale and their icy undead predators, to The Ashen of the Ardent Spire. None have been a more a persistent threat than those that reside in the Tosaigh Fein, the Revenant Mire in common tongue. The Revenant Mire was once the verdant heart of an ancient kingdom with rich farmland, vast pastures, burgeoning woods and bountiful waters. But the kingdom fell to its rivals in the thrall of Chaos, abandoned by their allies the king and the priestesses enacted a fell bargain so that they could hunt those that had brought about their demise.

While they slumbered in their stone halls the kingdom succumbed to the foul taint of chaos and the march of ages, the farmland and pastures turning to bogs and fenland, the woods became rotted and malevolent, the waters became brackish and poisonous. When they finally awoke everything had changed, the other mortals in the Grünvale had weathered the storm of Chaos, and many had prospered. The ancient meeting place of the tribes and their various clans had been settled and a vast city built upon it, the Fyrdhathen was no more, the walled city of Fairhaven had engulfed the sacred ground. Many of the old tribes and clans still existed, some had founded the city and adorned themselves with the trappings of civilisation, others held true to the old ways, residing well beyond the city in the old places, the woods the hills and the mountains of the Grünvale.

And while the storm had passed the cancerous taint of Chaos still blighted the land, twisted beasts still roamed on two legs preying on the weak, foul spawn and monsters still hunted from the darkest forests to mountain peaks freely. Other foul creatures such as Orruks, Fimir and Goblins had grown in numbers too.

So the fallen king set about reasserting his hold over his realm and mustered his kinfolk, digging deep into the dirt to expand his capital, raising the old sentinels, plotting against the mortals, and hunting the savage beasts. Now after hundreds of years work, his kingdom rises and the dead march on the Grünvale ............

King Cadhan conversion is awesome, I love that your conversions have so much character and that the fluff build on that too. Keep up the good work.

    The Děonach

The Děonach lurk in the fens, bogs and rotted woods of the old kingdom, hunting intruders and the hellspawned beasts that reside there. Originally created with a blend of life and death magic to act as supernatural defenders of the kingdom, the balance of magic that imbued them became corrupted by the death magic that flooded the realm. Now shadows of their former glory, they continue their age old task of defending the rotted realm.

~ Excerpt from Lorne Von Wilhelms “Exposition on The Tosaigh Fein”.

This chap is still WIP. Not sure what to use him as in game, I'm thinking Mournghul most likely.

    C&C welcome as usual.

Right, I've replaced the missing pics and done some reshuffling. I've also added a contents list for folks, which will be updated with new models, both WIP and finished articles.
