    Sculpting time! – Korpus Festerheart

    Hello everyone!
I'm doing quite a bit of sculpting at the moment and want to show you my current project, Korpus Festerheart. Ever since I saw this fantastic illustration I wanted it as a miniature, and now (10 years later or so) I'm finally making it.

I'm really taking my time on this one and trying to push myself on every part of the model. It's been really fun so far and I'm learning quite a lot. Hope you guys want to take part in the process. 🙂

This is how it looked the first week:

Well that is STUNNING! I can't wait to see the end result. Marvelous choice of inspiration.

I'll reiterate my comment from your other fantasy thread... I'd buy anything you cast, and the illustrations/sketches that led to 'em too! Keep up the great work.

I'm coining it right now, Warhammer 20K.
Violently opposed to plogs with LINKS to big pictures, instead of big pictures on the plog...

Nice to see you around here again. thanks for the nice words. I'm actually planning to sculpt some miniatures and busts and cast them in a pretty near future. I'll let you know when it takes off.

Im not too sure about the belly. It feels a little bit too big. Its certainly bigger than in the illustration. What do you guys think?

I think the belly is correctly sized... like Ian McKellen's nose in LotR, once you put everything else around it, it'll get lost if it's any smaller.

Hey man! Nice to see you here. Didnt know you were a member All good?
No, unfortunately no casts on this one due to it being a GW concept. And I think all the details would make the process pretty damn hard. He's pretty big, around 70mm.

Here's where Korpus is at the moment.

    Hey!
Redid his belly a bit, fixed his knee guards etc etc. The most difficult part is actually his helmet. I've done 6-7 already but still not good enough. Well, no quitting here!

    Thanks Karak! Uppskattar din support

A lot of work has been done on Korpus since the last update. I wasn't too satisfied with the proportions of his chest and the arms so I chopped them off and also made the chestplate thicker. I think it looks far better now, what do you guys think?

Now on to the feet, hands, back and the rest the small little details.
