    Blood Angels 8th Ed. Codex

So now that the new Codex's are rolling out, and the Space Marine one has already hit the shelves, I'm desperately awaiting the release of the Blood Angels codex and have held off on buying the Spam one until it comes out.

So the question is, does anyone know when this may be?

If the rumours of Sangi-boi coming back turns out to be true, then I would expect them before the year is up.

    ...
But if they're wrong, then all bets are off, and I ain't got a clue.

Personally? I'm kinda hoping for the latter, as I'd rather the next big focused-on faction NOT be some variety of astartes.
We've kinda had WAAAAAY too much of that already.
    No offense.

No, I kinda agree. I mean, I obviously would like the BA codex sooner rather than later, but I agree that GW need to share the love to the other armies.

They're pushing Primaris and Marine stuff hard but if they aren't careful their going to alienate the aliens.

I doubt we will see them 2017. I think that if Sanguinus does make a return, then it is far more likely to be 2018 and probably later in the year as I expect we'll see a different Primarch first (probably a loyalist though) before we see the more controversial ones return.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they rotate - imperial vs xenos. That’s how I would do it

So the guy in my local store confirmed it'll be Eldar next, then 'Nids, so BA are at least three codexes away.

I’m hoping for a new Sanguinor model with this new codex confirmed. I’d love for there to be a continuation of the law surrounding “it” after ruinstorm. If not I thinking of a conversion of the celestant prime model as although I like the current one it doesn’t quite put across a primarchesque or as I’m coming to think of him greater daemon of the imperium/sanguinius. Sounds like we’re only going to get a named blood angel primaris which is cool but after ultramarines received much love I would love the same for my preferred chapter

Re: Blood Angels 8th Ed. Codex

I'd like to see a bit of a buff to DC and to Furioso Dreads; Blood Angels are supposed to be an assault beast of an army, and I feel these units in particular are a bit below the level they should be. I'd like to se maybe another point of Toughness or maybe 2+ to hit for the Furioso, and maybe a 5+++ rather than 6+++ for the DC, or perhaps +1 strength on the charge even without a Sanguinary priest nearby for the DC. They'd have to go up in points a little but I think it would be worth it.

Also, hoping for an army wide tactic that allowed them to re-roll charges, or maybe even be able to charge after advancing, something of that ilk.

Re: Blood Angels 8th Ed. Codex

So it seems this is now confirmed for an early December release! I've read on BOLS that one of the changes is that we'll be able to use Cataphractii and Tartaros Terminators, and we're getting some slightly different Primaris stuff, including a special character.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for some buffs to DC and the Furioso......
