    Games Workshop + Wizkids

Have teamed up for a new board game/collectible dice game system, based on 40K.

Wonder how this will expand the universe?

If they're smart, they'll re-release games like Execution Force and Space Hulk with the pre-painted plastics to draw in the pure boardgamers, as neither of the above really had value to 40K players except as collectors items, i.e, very rarely did you need all four assassins in your Imperial army, or if you were a Chaos player, there were cheaper ways to get a Terminator-sorcerer, handful of Chaos Space Marines and about a dozen cultists...

Some old games are being republished - Fury of Dracula and Relic have been specifically mentioned.

There are two "new" board games in development though, as well as a collectible dice game based on 40k characters.

    Best of both worlds?

I wouldn't bother with Execution Force...
