[40K - Official] Heavyweight Entry Thread

Welcome to the first Offical AoD of the first season on Warseer.

    This will be a heavyweight AoD which uses the following rules for character creation;

    • You have 150 points to spend on your character
    • No Monstorus creatures are allowed
    • No Harlequins are allowed
    • All the rules from the stickied thread are in use.
    • All entrys must comply with this template
    • We do ask that you give descriptions of what wargear does, it just makes our lives easier when it comes to compiling entrants.
    • If you are in a clan, we do ask that you state your clan name and sub clan if you have one in your entry, failure to do this will result in your clan not getting your points.

    Good luck to everyone.

Re: [40K - Official] Heavyweight Entry Thread

    I'm out.

No, wait! I said that wrong!

    I'M IN!

    Lord Slaahardt
    Chaos Lord of Nurgle
    WS5 BS5 S5 T5 W4 I5 A4+1 Ld10 Sv 2+/5+

    Equipment/points etc...
    Lord 60pts
Mark of Nurgle 10pts (+1T, does not affect instant death, fearless, true grit)
Close Combat weapon 1pt (grants +1A, included in profile)
    D.Strength 10pts (+1S, included in profile)
Plague Sword 25pts (No armour saves. Roll d6 for each model wounded in HTH by the sword. On 4+, they are killed outright)
Furious Charge 15pts (+1S, +1I on the charge)
Terminator armour 25pts (+1A Included into profile, Save included into profile)
    TOTAL POINTS: 146.

This character is a Chaos Character, but NOT daemonic.
    He fights for Clan Ursa.

    A little bit of background:
Slaahardt is the leader of a band of renegade marines, formally known as the Chapter Stelaris. Although marked and favoured by Nurgle, he is not pestulant as such. He is merely large. His bulk fills his terminator suit fully, and gives it a straining appearance.

He wields a rusty sword, that slowly and purposfully drips jet black slime. This slime is highly corrosive. Of course, to a being not blessed by Papa, it is fatal. In the other hand, he carries a length of rusty chain with a metal ball on the end.

Re: [40K - Official] Heavyweight Entry Thread

Not everything I have seen in the Middleweight has followed the selection rules exactly, which leads me to ask:

Could I take a Callidus Assassin for this?

    Second question:

How many people will be allowed to enter?

I am aware that in the middleweight aod their has been discrepancies with regards to selection. This was mainly caused by how quickly Setra made the thread and without consulting with the then non existent aod admins. In any case, yes, you may take a calidus assasin, it has been mentioned that in the past assasins have been banned, but myself and thousanth cant recall the exact circumstances when this is the case. So as it stands at present, the only disallowed entrants are harlequins, Monstorus Creatures and anything with an armour value.

We are aiming for about 32 but depending on interest may increase it to 64.

Re: [40K - Official] Heavyweight Entry Thread

Oh now I can post a good character .

    Sorcerer Cian'Naki (Epistolary) 115pts
Weapons: Force Staff (0)*, Bolt Pistol (1pt)*
Wargear: Iron Halo (25pts)*, Psychic Hood (0)*
Psychic Power: Might of the Heroes: Used at the start of either assault phase. If successful, the Librarian gains +D3 attacks in that assault phase.

    Stats:
    WS 5
    BS 5
    S 4
    T 4
    W 3
    I 5
    A 3
    Ld 10
    Sv 3+/4+

    Total: 146pts

(Everything marked with * is now defined)
Force Staff: Counts as a power weapon. If a psychic power was not used in this turn, then upon a successful psychic test, it may destroy the enemy outright.
Bolt Pistol: Range: 12in, Str 4 AP 5 zType: Pistol
Iron Halo: Confers a 4+ Invulnerable save (already included)
Psychic Hood: Each time an oppennet makes a successful psychic test, both players roll a D6 and add it to their leadership. If the Librarian's is higher, the power is nullified. If the oppenent's is higher, the power works normally.

Tactics: Fire the bolt pistol like mad, then assault using the psychic power, Might of the Heroes, and if there are any subsequent turns, then use the Force Weapon to finish off the enemy. Also, please do not forget that Psychic Hood .

Character: Cian'Naki was once a loyal Librarian, but gave it all up to follow the Dark Arts. Upon discovering his fallen nature, his Chapter condemmed him to death. Cian'Naki escaped and became a Renegade, working alongside Lord Slazton in a Renegade Warband, looking for more Dark kNowledge to better understand the Great Enemy.

    Clan: Dark Apostles of Chaos

    Lord Whiff
    Ordo Malleus Inquisitor Lord(45)

    WS: 4 (5)
    BS: 4
    S: 3
    T: 3
    W: 3
    I: 4(5)
    A: 3 (+1 for two weapons)
    Ld: 10
    Sv: 3+/4+

    Equipment:
Anointed weapon (20): Ignores armor saves, always wounds daemons on a 4+ or better (a Chaos Lord with more that 50 points in Gifts counts as a daemon)
Bolt Pistol (1): Additional close combat weapon
Icon of the Just (25): 4+ Invulnerable save (included above)
Bionics (10): When this model is killed, instead of removing it, place it on it's side. Roll a d6 at the start of the next turn: on a rull of 6 the model stands up with one wound remaining. On any other result it is removed.
Scourging (20): Psychic power: Range 18", Str 5, AP 5, Assault d6, ignores invulnerable saves
Sacred Incense (10): All Chaos models involved in an assault with a model equiped with Sacred Incense suffer -1 to their Initiative.

Familiar (6): +1 Initiative (included above)
Veteran Guardsman (10): +1 WS (included above)

    147 points total

    Clan: Emperor's Finest - Adeptus Praetoris sub-clan

Appearance: Lord Whiff wears a white greatcoat over red carapace armor. The hood of his black cloak partially conceals his face, and his short, white hair keeps getting blown in his eyes. His left arm has been replaced with a bionic arm which seems to attract all incoming fire. All incoming fire, even that not even remotely aimed at him.

History: Lord Whiff has served the Ordo Malleus for many years, but his apparent greatness in the office is easily balanced out by his lack of success in the field. His cold, calculating mind quickly turns into something that would rival Jacques Clouseau for incompetance. Fairly often, he has to be quickly rushed from the battlefield to a medic station, usually felled by his own psychic powers. But nothing can keep him down for long.

He is considered a symbol of bad luck by those who have served alongside him. Asking him to bless your weapon is asking for it to blow up in your face.

Whiff has no idea how he got here or why. But one place is as good as another to suffer from grand mal seizures brought on by failing to concentrate when drawing power from the Warp. He knows that things aren't going to go his way, but they never do.

Wait, isn't he in the Middleweight AoD?: Last he remembers, yeah. Stupid Warp messing with time. Well, at least he has some better equipment, so he's not complaining. Too much. Plus, he cheering section tripled in size. He's not about to let his underlings see him defeated (again).

    Tactics: Scourge, then purge.
