    tancrede's work: side projects

    hi everybody,

i'm 28 y.o., from bordeaux, in france (yes, land of the wine and food ). i play whfb and 40k since 1991/1992 (i don't remember!).
for whfb, i play dwarves, gobbos and bretonnians, but my favorite game is 40k, where my armies are the imperial fists, the taus and the imperial guard (drop troups based on cadian).

i spend a lot of time at my desk to paint my minis and all my armies are wip.

this is my latest project: an army of the ecclesiarchy. so here are my first minis :

my first preacher (must do the base and some little things)

    my confessor (wip):

    the living saint (wip):

    waiting for your c&c.

The saint is a lovely job. Really nice work on the armour.

lovely work there, what colour scheme are you going for? purple, cream and gold? I think a colour scheme like this would look really good for the sisters armour. Or is it going to be blue?

Your metal work is very well done. The way you painted the preacher's bell and sword have to be my favorite parts of the model.

Once you get a chance, mind posting a tutorial?

    Re: tancrede's work: ecclesiarchy

    thanks for comments.

to hiredsword: i think i will keep the bone/purple/gold scheme for the adeptus ministorum and the shocktroopers. my inquisitor and his retinue will be more dark.

to no-use4a-name: it could be difficult, because i have some problems to explain what i've done in english. and i work in the evening, with a very low light wich make difficult to take useful pics.
    but i can try.

to god octo: all this minis are painted using nmm. i must work on the gold on the saint, because i'm not happy with it.

and i post you one of my side project (i have so many side projects... ).
this is the special edition of valten. i paint it for one of my friends (and without nmm this time).

WOA! That preacher sure has a lot of fury in his eyes, punny servant of a false emperor! Look at the first photo how his right eye looks! Despite the fact that you're a foul servant, your paintjob is great. Bravo!

The Acolyte looks superb. The detail on the tank and piping, not to mention the flames, is simply wonderful. I gotta try out blue fames at some point

That Acolyte is a beast. Where did the tank on his back come from?

    Re: tancrede's work: ecclesiarchy

It is a delight to see Ecclesiarchy as good looking as this Tancrede! They look great, I love you painting style, each of your minis have a very soft yet dark and brooding feel to them, brill.

It must be taking you a while to get through these, I bet? I've spent a few years converting a whole marine army and all I know now is that I'm getting sick of power armour! I hope painting this army doesnt get boring for you though.

By the way, it is Globadier in English as well, Im not sure how to say it either

My Marine Project now finally with 1750pts completed... and I'm going to put this force to bed for the time being.
My next project Khornate Gorewing - a converted all terminator Khornate warband!
Other things I have messed about with a little are Adeptus Mechanicus and a foray in to WFB with Night Goblins that are a lot harder than you'd think for an obsessive compulsive converter!

    Re: tancrede's work: ecclesiarchy

    hi!

no works on my ecclesiarchy for the moment, but some pics of the current work going on at my workdesk:

valten, finished (sorry, bad pics taken in the gw store of my friends). i will try to post a better one before the end of the year:

empire knight. it's a resin mini from a french company named ilyad games. the inspiration for this range of minis is a comics named "les chroniques de la lune noire" (tales of the black moon). still wip, i must do the sword and some details (belt, arms,... for exemple):

the little suzi. very bad pic (must do another one). it's a mini from hasslefree miniatures, and this company makes very pleasing to paint minis. if someone could "de-yellowish" the pic, it will be far much better.:

and a last for the road: a young samouraï woman, from hasslefree miniatures.
i have just started to work on it, with a blue and white scheme (crane clan for "legend of the five rings" rpg). now, i'm thinking of her kimono and details on it. i will maybe copy one of my wife's kimono...

and if someone can explain me how i can change the name of the thread, i will be very pleased...
