    missile launchers squad

    veterans

first sentinel (3 more to come)

all the squads are still wip, because i have lots of details to do.

i have a heavy bolter squad, 2 infantry squads, 2 kasrkins squads and the colonel's squad on my workdesk. i'll post them as soon as possible.

    C&C very welcome.

    Very nice!

I really like the use of Forge World bits here and there and you have done a very good job on squad insignias and the bases (the missile launcher teams are great!).

In particular I like the veterans that has a very unique look to them that really makes them stand out. (On a side note: the use of flamers for veterans makes their increased ballistic skill reduntant, multiple flamers might IMHO be better used in Platoon command squads.)

A minor thing is that you really should drill out those barrels, especially on your grenade launchers - but you did mention that they are WIP.

    Good job! Keep us posted!

    wow...

They are very nicely done with poses and painting. The paint looks smooth and have a very realistic feel about it (as realistic it can get in the 40k )
Th pics are abit blurry and could be a tad brighter beacouse now the faces looks a little flat (it could be the pics I don´t know.) th squad markings is a nice thuch to bring som colour and character to the masses of infantery grat job on that one.

Ok and over to my favorite , the sentinel, It looks great. THe apinting is smoooth but very wheaterd and the freehand on it is the best ever!

keep it up I´m going to have m eyes on this thread..

    to wulf:
the veteran squad was created for an urban war patrol (400pts) with 2 kasrkins squads and the sentinel for heavy firepower. it's my close combat squad, and the flamers are here (with frag grenades and the vet sergent) to destroy the ennemy squads in the buildings.

i will make another one with ranged weapons for open field battles (when i have more time to do it, of course )

    to animerik:
sorry for the pics. i took them yesterday, at the beginning of the evening: no sun, no artificial light source, only a few work on the pics this morning with my computer. i will do better if i can take pics at the week-end, just in the middle of the day. the light is very good at this moment.

Great paint job, and i like the hardened veterans squad alot, the change of heads makes them stand out from the usually dull and same imperial guard. The clothing is done well as well as the armour and skin, great job on them!

great stuff, except you should drill the barrels of the guns. These guys rock, but those barrels let them a bit down...

Absolutely beautiful stuff but again, the barrels are the letdowns here. Now if you don't necessarily want to drill them you could always go for the ever loveable black circle approach but something needs to be done to make them look less solid.

As beautiful as the grenade launchers are....they don't quite look as though they can fire much.

    Magnifique Tancrede...
    I love those squad insignias.

Juste une critique : I think that you need to make grenade's launcher hole

    Re: tancrede's guard: 13th aquilonian

hi guys! today, i have new stuff for my guard:

first: my first chimera (it's an old model which was lost in my bits box). it's a test model for my tanks (color, weathering,...)

second, my salamander scout tank. scratchbuilt and tracks guard by forgeworld. it will be painted the same way as the chimera (on the way, but no pics).

As I've said before, your camo looks great, but your infantry looks even better! My god emperor, they are awesome!

But do drill open the GL barrells.

You need a banner with King Conan sitting on the throne.

    hello guys!

i'm back after some holidays. i don't have very much time to spend on my minis (cause i get married last week ).

but that's my new work, still very wip: command chimera with autocanon. i'm waiting for my forgeworld stuff to continue (track guards, rear door, side panels, ...)

and my salamander scout tank, painting in progress but a lot of work to do.

Congrats on the wedding! I wish you both years of happiness and good health.

Onto your tanks. What an awesome way to change the look of the Chimera. I'm not only reffering to the turret. I'm speaking about the pushed back cupola(sp?). Looks great. I'm soooo taking this idea.
