    Starting mordheim

    I'm starting with... dwarves!

USeing my current dwarf models at the start but moving into buying mordheim models.

I haven't yet read the rules, but as i collect dwarves in Fantasy i'm gonna be useing them in mordheim too.

I have now made my warband, although, i think it is quite small:

    Name Type Equipment
Granuith noble 2x pistols gromil armour helmet
Thandruin Thunderer Handgun Helmet light armour
Hesereth Clansman Dwarf axe sheild heavy armour
Kruin Clansman Dwarf axe sheild heavy armour
    Grenduerin Beardling Axe sheild

    the total cost is 500

    Re: Starting mordheim

-get rid of the armour, it's not as useful as more warriors
-keep the helmets, they are the most useful armour imo
-get as many heroes as possible to take full advantage of finding more wyrdstone after a battle.
    - and finally, welcome to Mordheim; city of the damned

mordheim is ace. one of my favorites.
i run a skaven list. very fast, very killy, very fragile and runs away if you look at it funny.
    great game.

you're obviously new to mordheim, so I'll go nice. (I'm long in the mordheim tooth.)

One thing you should keep in mind. Heroes are your lifeblood in mordheim. You gain money in campaigns by searching. Heroes do your searching, assuming they weren't put OOA in the latest fight. Henchmen are much cheaper, but die a lot more often, (1:3 times, as opposed to 1:7 for heroes)

Additionally, your Engineer hero, is ******* amazing. He adds to your range with handguns (kinda sucky) or with Crossbows (kinda awesome!)

As mentioned armor is kind of useless, save for your gromril.

Dwarfs have an interesting possibility to start, as they can have 3 guys start with a 3+ save, which is horrifically hard in mordheim. But the catch is: Many critical hits will 'Ignore Armor Save' making a very expensive investment useless.

    Yes, you need the engineer.

Firing both the pistols at one time is a special skill, i believe.

Slayers are also nice to have.
