    Re: "The Dreadnought thread"

Just wanted to add my newest Dreadnought:

Here some pics of the Dread:

And as i wanted to panit the Dread more damaged i gave it a try.
Admittedly it's not my cup of tea, but he looks better now.

Since it was the first time after 2 years that i used pigments again, i used them far too heavy, but have already corrected it.
Sadly i didn't get neither the decal sheets, nor the gras tufts i had ordered up to now, as i wanted to add a banner and finish the base.
Thus the base looks a bit meh.

    Cheers

I know it's not a dreadnought, but would anybody mind if I put some pic's up of my defiler?

It does have two legs so it is more of a walker...

    Many thanks!

Wow, lots of amazing stuff on this thread!

@ Mr Scratch and Sniff: That Defiler is a beast! Looks like it has some Brass Scorpion in its family tree somewhere.
How did you do the metal parts?

    Thanks,

    Re: "The Dreadnought thread"

    Many Thanks!

It was based on a slannesh subjagator!

As for the metal, do you mean the brass metal or the weathered metal?

    the brass metal is:-

Tin bitz, Delvun mud wash, drybrush with chainmail. Add rust weathering powder.

    The weathered metal is:-

Boltgun metal, flesh wash. Add various 'spots' of ogryn flesh, gryphonne sepia & delvun mud washes around the metal.
Then light drybrushes of boltgun metal, chainmail and mythril silver. Finally finish with gloss varnish to 'pull' all the layers together.

    Hope that helps!

(don't think I posted here before... if I did, my apologies)

Inspired by the HKs shown inb the 1st "Terminator" movie, I created a couple of tracked Dreadnoughts for my MiB (Marines in Black)

    Re: "The Dreadnought thread"

That defiler totally reminds me of Skorponok from Transformers (not the movie one).

I like the tracked dread too, are those thunderfire tracks?

Am working on a couple of contemptors, will get a piccy up when done.

The 1st one are from a Robogear model, the 2nd from an ork truck or buggy.
