Thanks a lot guys. I'm posting just to let you know I'm still around. I just have been focussing on 40k stuff lately, trying to get my "oddball" IG army in gear.

There should be more 10mm stuff coming up soon - more Empire, Warriors of Chaos and WM historicals too so stay tuned!

Alright, I will not blame you if you didn't "stay tuned" because it takes a little bit longer than planned with the commissions. Anyway, the first packet arrived today:

A whole bunch of (mortal) chaosy goodness. I decided not to unpack and clean everything in one go but do it in two to three batches. So first, there will be the "heavy" detachment - Chaos Knights, Chaos Warriors, Dragon Ogres, Spawns. Later, Hounds, Marauders, Chariots and Characters will be added.

I'll try to work at a fast pace and post updates frequently and regularly.

"Oh, look at the pretty little toy soldiers. Oh, they are just SO cute". A friend of my wife said that recently

I will be a waiting photos too. Just love the cute little soldiers.

@happy_doctor: That's nice to hear, thanks.

    @mrtn: Surprisingly so.

@spikedog: Cheers. Hope to be able to deliver with results soon.

@Crazy Harborc: Did you throw her out after she said these words?

The day's over, I spent way too much time shopping with a friend but nevermind. I'm not quite sure about the colour scheme (or base design) the customer wants so I can't do much anyway.

..apart from setting up a to do list:

    Characters: still in blister
    6 chariots: still in blister
3 bases of chaos hounds: still in blister
6 bases of Marauders: still in blister
8 bases of Chaos Knights: built, primed and glued to bases
6 bases of Chaos Warriors: built, primed and glued to bases
3 Dragon Ogres: built, primed and glued to bases
2 Spawns: built, primed and glued to bases

First problems emerged when I noticed that one of the chaos knights came damaged in the blister (lance had snapped off - annoying). The other problem was that the customer wants the Chaos Knights to be 3 minis per base, as I did it with the other cavalry before. Problem is that there are surprisingly strong connection points between the two knights that are the actual mini so disconnecting them was a bit tricky.

Alright, that's it for day #1, I'll go to bed.

As predicted, the commissions I had agreed to do all through fall are coming in now. All at once as it seems. Look who decided to invade my desk today:

Ancient Greeks! 480 of them being Hoplites and some other dudes. They are 6mm so it's a kind of new experience for me because I never painted this scale, not counting some test minis for Epic.

Great, was afraid that I could get bored of all the Chaos stuff.

Re: BfSP box, Dark Elves, Warmaster and various other stuff - by sigur

@Ancre: Cheers. I aim to please (by posting pictures of unpainted minis )

@fredmans: Good to know that my desk is your heaven but I'm afraid I'll have to keep you waiting for some proper painted Greeks. I'll do the Chaos stuff first until I get really really bored of them.

@Lord Azoth: I find 15mm scale very convenient to paint (even more so than 28mm actually) because it somehow is the point where a satisfying level of detail on the sculpts meets with a certain easiness to paint. Let's see how it works out at 6mm. I'm a bit afraid that I'll miss the level of details.

Alright you guys. So all the greeks are cleaned, bent into shape (no spears snapped yet *knock on wood*) and primed. I thought about test minis and quickly came to the conclusion that I shouldn't have primed them black. So, being the pro and vet and whatnot that I am, I decided to make use of good old "dusting" (a.k.a. knucklehead painter didn't think before priming and has to prime twice ).

Anyhow, for the WM chaos dudes, I already have a recipe and they came in first so I decided to start with them.

    Warriors:

    Knights:

    Other chaos stuff:

I hope to finish the warriors and knights tonight (just had the first cup of coffee), do the Dragon Ogres - cool minis. As I said before, WM scale works great for any kind of monster - and the Spawns tomorrow and maybe will even be able to assemble the rest of the chaos stuff.

    Wish me luck!

Sweet, I picked the same scheme for my Warmaster Chaos... except yours is much-much better painted than mine.

Looking forward to the big gribblies, especially the Dragon Ogres are very fun to paint!

    Hi Sigur,

First post here. I enjoy very much every pic you put on the log. Keep on.
Those chaos warriors and knights look promising.

For Dragon ogres and spawns you can make a google seach to take some ideas. I really like the look of the old metal one:

    http://kofler.dot.at/40k/units/Chaos_Spawn_2.gif

Or the more diverse colour scheme of the new plastic ones:

    And for dragon ogre:

    Keep on Sigur

Hi again Sigur. Have you an idea where to find this beauties? I think they are from a special edition blister when SoC.

As a side note more example pics. Now characters:
Classic Archaon with matching red cape http://www.atouchoftensai.com/wargames/gallery/103.jpg
    Classic GW Archie http://www.tavernadelgargoyle.com/ec...ei%20Tempi.JPG
And another to show the cool base on 28mm http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs48/f/20...seronarogu.jpg

Is there any possibility to make something similar with Archaon´s base. Some kind of spikes from below with glows and rifts and things like that?

And for the sorcerer i like something undivided:

@mistermaster: Thanks for the commitment. I'll see what I can do about the bases for the characters. Might cost a bit more then though; depending on what I can come up with.

@zoggin-eck: They are made by a company named Baccus. I think they're British.

A tiny update: Warriors are finished painting, so are the knights. Dragon Ogres are well on their way, 90% finished I'd say. You were right, they were fun to paint up. Pictures will follow later. See you!

sigur.....I have a mental image of you at your worktable. The table covered by many, many Warmaster untouched minies.

Between you and the minies is a BIG, BIG.....magnifying glass. On the floor next to you is a cooler full of chunks of ice covering a couple of 6 packs. Looks like beer to me.....ANYWAY.....Now, I've got the image out of MY mind.
I am therefore I think OR I think therefore I am?
