Thread: Lack0F's ScratchBuilt Titan, Baneblade and all other things

    Re: Scratch Built Warhound Titan

@ Xyxox the baneblade took ALOT LESS skill, it has alot of large flat areas and thus a whole lot less styrene cutting.

So I would recoment for someone building both that you start with the baneblade.

ALso if you give me about 4 days i can work up some templates for the baneblade in the same way i did for the titan. Let me know if you want them.

I will ABSOLUTELY want your Baneblade templates! I'm planning on using your Warhound templates when I get to that project and all I currently have for the Baneblade is the old White Dwarf templates, and I figured I'd have to do quite a bit of modification to get that pattern to look more up to date.

Now you've really made something beautiful. Titan was great but a little disproportionate for me. And that Baneblade is just awesome. Maybe it's because of me being more for big tanks than big robots, but there we go.
What did you use for the tracks and the main barrel? And isn't the turret too small for that megabattle cannon?

How did you make the tracks?
The main problem in the world is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off everything and let the problem solve itself?

by the looks of it the tracks are from a premade model, i wouldnt guess what type but i have heard that 1/48th Tiger tanks make the best Tracks, though i guess for a baneblade the scale would be higher

    Re: Scratch Built Warhound Titan

wow... awesome work... but how did you manage to buy/steal tracks of the same length? or did you cutomise them?

    Re: Scratch Built Warhound Titan

I found a number of sites on the net that said to use 1:35 Abrams, that they worked the best for tracks however sense the hobby shop was selling em for about 40$, and the 155mm bristish howitzer was only 21$ i bought that.

But i think that any 1:35 scale tank model with a decent number of wheels & tracks should do you.

The tracks are a little thiner then i had originaly planned, but i dont think they look too bad.

You could try scratch building em but it saves alot of time & effort to just steel em from a kit. Plus they look more profcional & you get a whole lot of extra bitz.

POST #300. I RULE. THANKS FOR ALL YALLS HELP

    I have a quick question.

How do you rap the plastic card around the barrel of the cannon and on the pipes in the back?
Inquisitor Konig: At Warhammer World they serve Bugman's Beer, but I don't think they brew it there...
Avatine Crusader: Well duh, they aren't actualy dwarfs.

You can heat it up in hot water and bend it there.
