I previously posted that our assault range from a vehicle is 6" + base width + 6" + 2D6". On reading the disembarkation rules, you don't get your base width; the model must be completely within 6" of the access point, so it's only a total of 12" + 2D6".
However, remember that wagons can forgo shooting to move an extra 6" and trukks can go an extra 12". That makes our first turn movement a lot faster than now and should more than make up for it.

From our experience over 3 games, my opponents and I all saw huge assault moves, especially if Fleet. I think the concerns about reaching combat where overstated to say the least.

Anyone trying to first turn charge with storm boys? Jump 13-18 and charge 2d6 can see them go 30 inches on the go.

Running nobs in the back of units may now be a good idea. If he's not engaged in the combat he can't be challenged. This gives the boys a chance to kill off the sergeant. Still no use against a MC. I'm thinking we should be swapping boss poles with 'eavy armour.

Na you need both. The get can't touch av13. It's not that easy to get round the back with it due to min speed and limited turning.

I agree on starting a new 6th ed thread for orks now.
Anyhoo. Played my first game yesterday in the new ed with my old list geared on the previous ed. Not the most competetive but it does the job. Or rather..it did until it met flyers.
What is the go-to unit/item for orks now for dealing with flyers?
