Anyone fancy a "plate" style competition? A simple KO tournament featuring first round losers.

I suggest because many people, including myself, have waited so long for this to start and so may be thoroughly disappointed to be out so soon. I would probably do most of the matches to help it speed along.

Well, the thing is that any match rolled for that is a match not rolled for this. And the sooner we finish this, the sooner we can have a 32-entry MAX Featherweight. Howsabout rollers incorporate your characters into their writeups or something. Assuming your character wasn't skooshed flatter than a grot under a titan that got hit by a nova cannon - and the rest of the Imperial Cruiser). Sure, you won't actually be in the running, but at least your character will be playing some part in the competition.

Let's just say that Implant Attack is nasty and leave it at that.

EDIT -

Artemis_Quinn Vs. shadow hunter is a prime contender for the luckiest/most heroic act. A strike from either one of them would mean instant death for the other. I'm not saying which one did this, but he missed EVERY SINGLE ATTACK WITH A 1. Then I saw I was short one attack. Rolled it. 4. Wounds. Skoosh.

Thats the final one I'm doing up now. I hope Riddy will be happy in the knowledge that although he lost the match, he had drawn the first time I rolled the match, both killing each other in the second round.

Last two writeups of Round 1 will be up today, along with the matches for Round 2. Considering how quickly this one is going, is it time to start up an entry thread for the next AoD? And what class (Featherweight, Lightweight, etc.)? I favor Featherweight after a Heavy and Super Heavy...

I think it is too early to start the entry thread for another AoD now. I would say wait at least one more round; after all we still have over 30 matches for this AoD during which people may lose interest.

I also wouldn't mind seeing a few more people in charge. SoM seems to be doing everything, and what happens if he disappears for a small while; bad internet, holiday or general business. It would also help to discuss a few rules for upcoming AoD's. For example, rules are different for the smallest AoD's since entries with heavy weapons practically ruled the flyweight category previously.
