Well...another of those really irregular updates, as real life is quite demanding currently.

Hi dijital_llama, sorry for replying so late, but thanks very much indeed for your kind words!

    Really enjoying your conversion work.

And here as promissed some WIP pics, as i only just put on the first coat of adeptus battlegrey/black

The amoured might of the Space Sharks 2nd company
All are mark I Rhinos, as the whole company is going to be made up of Rogue Trader models!
They are made up of 5 normal Rhinos, 3 Rhinos with EA and 1 Razorback for the command squad.

...and some specialist vehicle for the Space Sharks 3rd company:
a Sabre tank hunter, a retrival vehicle (counts as Razorback) and a Manticore

Right now i am painting/washing the first Librarian in about 2 decades! and contiuing on the veteran squad in between.

    ..and double-post, sorry for, but:

Finaly finished the Space Sharks veteran squad from 1st company:

It's taken me some time, but finally after half a year they're done. Oh and i will try to avoid markIII
armour whenever i can! Takes much longer to paint all the segments.

And a WIP of the said Librarian:

I have been undercoating my miniatures since the Blanchitsu article of John Blanche black and have
never locked back! ...that is until this miniature, since i wanted the blue to be more vibrant.

Ah well, after about a month the next update:

Another squad - well in this case a demi squad - for the Space Sharks 2nd company. The first
half of squad 7 Assault. The classic jetpacks are missing, as i don't have them with me, but
next week i will have those added, as well as started on the second half of the squad. Enjoy!

Sounds like she took you by surprise and wanted you to go on wasting your time with strange people like us!

Well, got the necron bug too...but i am hoping to withstand it long enough, so that i might get bitten properly by the Tau one!

not really, for 7 years of being with her she has never once gotten me anything GW related. She always said that I would have to buy it myself, so i was online ordering it. Then she pushes me out of the chair and says "though now you're getting it for christmas." So i ended up getting it a week later then had i just boughted it myself.

Mine never got me anything too, but she often parked me on saturdays in the GW store when she went shopping!

    Hi long time no update...
    ...ah well...work...RL...the usual.

Finaly found the energy and the will to finish the second half of the assault squad.

Am rather chuffed at how they turned out.
I do not want to dammage any of my old Rogue Trader models, especially not the metal ones. Therefore
i just converted only a few, and only those which i have twice. I also added a second sergeant, in case i want to use
    2 different demi squads.

And this is the Chaplain that will go with this assault squad.
He is still WIP, but i can see the end of the tunnel.

    Here another pic.

It's the first of my 3 Rogue Trader Dreadnoughts. Still WIP, since i still have to tidy him up.

Guess that i'm going to work some more on him and make him look more battleworn. Just have
to wait for some weathering powders. And i also want to give him a banner, so still waiting for
    the decal sheets too.

Some pics of the last squad completed:

Finaly i put on some decals and dust to the Assault squad and they look much better now.
That's the look the whole 2nd Company of my Space Sharks will have.
Far too many other things at hand for changing th 3rd Company too (and maybe beeing a bit too lazy)

Since it was the first time that i used pigments after nearly 2 years i used them far too heavy.
Already scratched away some of the sand.

When i recieve the fab FW upgade pack for the Tartaros terminators the Sarge with the 2 powerfists will get the lightning claws,
thus giving me more options for the squad. The apothecary is used as standard assault marine, i just wanted to include him, as he looks great.

    Some detail pics:

Here some pics of the Dread:

And as i wanted to panit the Dread more damaged i gave it a try.
Admittedly it's not my cup of tea, but he looks better now.

I used the pigments again far too heavy, but have already corrected it.
Sadly i didn't get neither the decal sheets, nor the gras tufts i had ordered. So i just placed an order with
Antenocitis - should have done it in the first place, as they are ace!

Great to see so much 40k nostalgia in one place! Really like how you update the classic minis without taking away from their character. The latest assault squad is pure awesome, would love to face an army like this across the table.

    Cheers,

Those are sooo gorgeous. The good old days of Rogue Trader. Your paintjobs make those old models really look modern. Amazing! I wished I had never sold them when I was a teenager...They are rare nowadays.

    Thanks VERITAS/AEQUITAS for the comp.

I am currently putting together my old jetbike squad for the 2nd Company, but am 2 jetbikes short, so have only 8.
...and am just seeing what you mean with rare...gosh they charge an arm for one of those!
Might as well add a Land Speeder (No fear...Mark I Rogue Trader) and use it as attack bike?

I remember my very first how to paint citadel miniatures book, lots of these models were in it! Fantastic job painting up really nostalgic models!
