Post Marines, more precisely Space Sharks (incl. Rogue Trader Company and Chikkas!)

    Well, how should i start?

i' ve been with it since the beginning, well since Rogue Trader days anyway. Thought to have seen quite a bit and when Portent closed down i didn't think to find an aquivalent, but you never know - and i found Warseer more than a year ago and have been lurking around ever since. Projects of The Hoff, Spikyjames, Xuchilbara and others have made me humble. But Deadley topped them all.
Nevertheless i'm sitting here and thinking about adding a new thread to this forum. Space Marines, of course, as if GW didn't put anything else, with the exeption of the Imperial Guard, onto their shelves. But then again it's going to be my 7th Marine army, please be not disillusioned, because that doesn't mean, that my painting has improved by an jota since i started to paint a citadel miniature, nor did my velocity ( or the absence of it).
My goal is to finish painting my 6th army, Space Sharks, pre-heresy, till the end of February/ mid March, and finishing to assemble and paint my 7th army, Crusaders (aehm Black Templars - only ruleswise) 'till the end of August, as well as finally terminating my 5th army, Black Dragons also 'till the end of August.
Please be not suprised if my messages/updates are short, or nonexistent, for a week, since my work requires a lot of travelling.

Oh, and most important of all, please forgive my spelling - i'm a lazy and illiterate italian

Without further digression the first pics - i've learned in the meantime that you all love those - well at least i admit it

Oh and by the way, C + C always welcomed
    First the Space Sharks

These are really spectacular. I love all the conversions.

The pre heresy termies are great, did you make the shouldpads? Love the marine with the club, and the little scene of the guy swiping at his enemy tottering off balance is really superb. Also, the chaplain LANDING ON SOME GUY'S FACE is awesome. I'm stealing that for my army. Major cool. and dont worry about the painting, we all dont have to do crazy paint jobs for an army to look great.

Now i'm interested in seeing your other marine armies.

As for taking pics, make sure you have it evenly lit, and you are using the macro function on your digicam (looks like a lil flower). A tripod and a lightbox help too. But your pics arent terrible, in fact, they are better than most.

    Lookin foreward to more.

what you want to do is register on a site such as Photobucket and then you upload your pictures from you PC, on your photobucket page it will display a thumbnail of the pic with 3 text bars with links in them underneath. you then just copy and paste the link with the [img] tags into the post

and on topic of the minis, i really like them, a lot of character to them. cant wait to see more

    Very, very cool Landraider.
Any chance you have WIP-pic's? I'm curious to how you built it.

i think if a marine was smoking a stogie, he would be kicked out of the chapter for abusing his body..

i think its an awsome idea!

    Re: Marines, obviously

I've told you about my 7Th army, the Crusaders, well they're more or less Bretonians in space.(what GW did with my beloved Dwarfs i can do too)
They will all be painted like the british Crusaders of old. That means:
    armour: chainmail
    robes: offwhite
    crosses: red
Furthermore every Marine and vehicle will have his/its own heraldy displayed somewhere about him/it, since every single one is meant to be special.
Every vehicle will get the immolators top, as it looks quite fitting IMO. But i'm still not convinced how to represent the extra armour on the vehicles. Up to now i want to use the Terminator shields (several packs already here) and put them on, like a shieldwall. i'm going to post the pics on sunday when i've done at least the Predator.

Very cool conversions; the colour scheme suits them, although I think their vehicles should be darker. Subscribed!

After the assault squad comes my Terminator squad and Techmarine.

The Terminator Sarge is not jet finished, since i want to add a loincloth. Please be not surprised to find 3 heavy weapons, i did them so that i can adjust to my opponents.

Here come the Tactical squads, but one more squad will be added, as well as some more Marines for the other squads, as i'm a little bit afraid that codex: Marines Redux might bring us the 5/10 squads.

    And finally the HQ

I'm pleased with the way my Commander turned out.
The helmet of my Chaplain is hollow, so that i can put it on.
I had to do my Champion of the Emperor like the artcover of the codex

Oh and the last one is for my beloved dwarfs (that'll teach them to keep those nice guys in the game at least as Demiurg)
