    All incredible, just... wow.

I might have to steal your "Bretonians in Space" idea. Though, personally, I think any Bretonian Inspired SM modem should use "Be Swift as the Wind." (so it won't be a total rip off )
Many a Sentinal pilot has hesitated to call his vehicle a walking coffin after battling beside Dreadnoughts.

The one downside to being a non conformist: Good roll models are hard to find.

    Re: Marines, obviously

Hi, another update, but OT since i got a little distracted
@Feor: feel free to use the idea and i would be happy if you would post some pics of here

Started on 2 further Ogryns for my Red Berets

I'm not sure wether to use the head beside the figure, or the attached one:

And also started on the Wraithlord

But here i need some advice, since i don't play Eldars. I would like to make him a close combat model without heavy weapons, is this possible ruleswise?
I will have to cut off the shoulderpads and reattach them with strips of plasticard, as i won't be able to place the arms higher. The position will be more like above the head

    C & C welcomed

Some more Red Berets, but i will put them on hold until i get those heads i ordered with Westwind. Saw the german heads Xu uses on his fantastic Pioniere and had to get me the british ones with beret.
The bases the models are on are only for painting, they will be put on their right baseas afterwards, when i finaly have those cobbelstone ones for the right WWII feeling

    Re: Marines, obviously

And work also progressed on the Eldar Wraithlord.
The conversion beeing quite easy, with only minor changes.
The hands have to be pinned, to get their angle right and to make them more resistant.
The arms had not to be altered at all, but since i wanted to make the model more resistent i drilled some small holes, less than 0.5mm deep into the inner part of the shoulder joints, as well as on the counterpart on the upper body. So when glued togehter with superglue and some green stuff in between it will settle in those small holes on both sides, the effect like beeing pinned. I find this very usefull when putting together thin parts.

The joint at the right foot had to be pinned as the whole model will stand on this. To add more stability i bent the pin slightly(when the GS settles it won't be able to twist) and drilled some minor holes to. The left leg wat cut with a slightly bigger V-shape at the knee after having cut off carefully the kneepad.
By doing this you can make the leg seem more bended, to give it more dynamism.
The legs and lower body were drilled out in the same way as the arms at their joints.

The upper body had the shoulder pads carefully removed for the moment, to be reattached in a later stage. I noticed that i will have to set the head back for about 2 - 3 mm as i will be to near to the raised arms

C & C very welcomed on this one.
Can anybody tell me if i cant do this figure without heavy weapons - ruleswise that is?

wow, wonderfully crazy Wraithlord there Vimes. I like the use of the Silver Helm helmet thing on the head. The head does look a bit odd front on though...

How are you going to paint it?

    Re: Marines, obviously

@arhalien: thanks and jes you're right, so i thought to paint something like a Samurai mask on the frontpart of the head. I do not dare to model anything onto it.
I think the Saim Han coloursheme would work nicely, but i might go for scab red to make it look a bit more weathered. The head is my problem as i do not think that bleached bone might look good on this one, maybe a black head with black/red highlights?

    Re: Marines, obviously

Well i'm very pleased how this one turned out.
I must admit i got my inspiration from "Matrix".
Not beeing an to accomplished GS sculptor when it comes down to do coats and such things i used a 0.5mm aluminium foil which you can get at most specialist shops

    Hi all,
not that you think that this is thread necromancy - i've been ill since the last time, so i couldn't do anything but basing and spraying a squad of Crusaders, the Wraithlord and some Paratroopers.

Will try to post some pics of them in painting progress during this week

Ooh,k sorry Vimes, had forgotten this! The wraithlord looks a lot better and that matrix conversion is wonderfully crazy! More the sort of thing you'd expect an Ork to do than a marine

@arhalien: Thanks for your kind comment. No orks for me in 40K - but i'm trying to let the SPQO's legions come alive for warhammer(one manipulus of auxiliares is already converted) and for the glory of Gorkus et Morkus)

    Back among the painting ones.
    A tripple horray -
After a long break for work i got to finish my Space Sharks this weekend as per my selfimposed deadline - well with one exception, my Land Raider which i finished yesterday.
So first the 10th Devastor / or for special games with the addition of the plasma gun instead of one heavy bolter useable as tactical squad

    The 2nd Tactical

    Part of the 7th Assault
