Night runner box for warband?

Hi, I think a assasin warband is pretty cool and I want to make a warband with alot of rats with double daggers.
Now my question, is the warhammer fantasy night runner box good for building a warband? Or is another box better.
Do they also have some sort of standard bearer which I can convert to magician (wizard staff)

Can I equip the rats with double dagger from the materials in the box?
Can I also make a cool assassin out of a night runner, or shall I buy an assasin blister?

Should I take some gutter runners as black skaven (fighting claws)? Or will night runners (slightly converted) do?

The Night Runner box uses the Mordheim Skaven models!

I would recommend converting one of the spear arms for your wizard's staff. Give him a plastic cloak off the sprue too.

I would recommend buying one of the cool metal Assassins to distinguish them from the rest of the Warband.

Thanks, I think Ill start with the NR box + assassin then, and maybe later buy some models for fighting claws, if I get to play them.

Are gutter runners suitable for black skaven + claws?

They should look sufficiently different from the Night Runners to make good Black Skaven.

The Night Runner box contains 5 pairs of Fighting Claws IIRC.

Hey if you're thinking about making an assassin list use the "Assassin Squad" from mordheimer. They're experimental but they should work. I increased the henchman gc by 5 and made the skill ultimate specialist only work on the charge but it's up to you.
