I think I might do some Orange trim, I think that'd look stunning (if i can do it right )
I haven't gotten my minis yet and I'm killing myself in anticipation, I feel like a giddy schoolboy.
Nice update by the way, the pants are looking even better then your first model.

Well asecondtoolate got me hooked on this game, and I've ordered my YuJing starter. It'll arrive along with his Nomads, since we ordered from the same shop. Excitement!

Dont worry about that, as soon as they arrive, I shall. Come to think of it I could always take some photos of the Stand alone complex style terrain I am making..

Hey asecondtoolate, Exit., & nanktank, if you guys want to combine and do a group Infinity project log, I’m all for that. Good idea Frost, thanks. For one thing, I paint about as fast as asecondtoolate does.

I’ve already got one gift certificate from me mum, now I’m just waiting to see if my dad is going to send one too (one of the few benefits of having divorced parents, double the birthday money! ) I’ll probably place my order in the middle of next week.

I’m also going to be doing terrain too nanktank. I’ve already cut around 60 or so 2”x2” pieces of plexi-glass to use for windows, doors, and skylights, and I’ve already made polystyrene my personal be-yatch. So PM me (so we don’t clutter up Frost’s thread) and let me know if you guys want to kick it off, maybe next weekend or so.

    Later!

Re: Frost's Infinity Thread (warning, non-GW content!)

    You guys log would rule...and..

I think and Infinity terrain blog would be fricking awesome. I always come up with great ideas for terrain and then try to build them and suck it up. So maybe if we all just contributed to it we could help each other out with concepts. The CB terrain they use in photos is SO amazing!

3D art isnt my thing...I guess my specialty is paint

But yeah, I have a bunch of cans/jars/containers/etc that I am going to use to make some hopefully high tech looking terrain stuff. I want to score some PVC piping and some of those plastic I-beams, as well as drinking straws, which make groovy looking pipes and what not.

I also want to try and make some high tech looking hovercars or something like that to populate the city streets...hopefully making some good cover Maybe a trip to the toystore is in order

Plexiglass terrain = awesome! Id love to see some sort of "force screen" windows or walls made out of it, maybe tinting it with some kind of dye or something.

My goal is to get 6 nomads and 6 pan oceania built and painted...then concentrate on my terrain.

You guys can feel free to put ideas in here about anything Infinity related...this thread seems to be the warseer Infinity hangout, which is totally sweet Ask here or PM me about any rules/fluff questions...Im learning too, but I would definately love to discuss the game as much as possible with you gents.

So far, it sounds like besides myself, these are the players in this thread:

    asecondtoolate
    Lithian
    Exit.
    nanktank

Am I missing anyone? I know IJW bought some models, but I dont think he is playing the game...

    Roll call!

    Frost

Kewl. As far as cars go, I use the Maisto die cast cars that Wal Mart sells through their Kid-Connect line. They are something like 1:36 or 1:38, and only cost $2. They also have motorcycles too for around $1.50 or so. I get them for my boys, they trash them, and then I sock them away to paint up later for burning wrecks. I have about 4 or 5 right now. They are a tad big, but I think they work fine. I've seen simular cars in packs at Toys-R-Us too.

    Link 1
    Link 2

I was thinking hover car too. Did you see the Appleseed CGI movie? I was thinking I could take one of the above cars, yank the tires, make a pin, and put the tires back on at a downward angle, and make a simple hover base. I was thinking of using those "googly-eyes" to make the "hover-hubcap-assemby", if you know what I mean?

I gotta go home, more ideas later this weekend.

Well I could hardly call myself a player, as I have yet to play a game, however I am definitly on the path. For all us terrain modelers, here is an essay I found while looking for inspiration for the terrain http://www.depauw.edu/sfs/backissues/80/wong80art.htm an interesting essay on cyberpunk cityscapes.

Also on the english infinity forums in the modelling section, there is a beautiful terrain piece they made for the rulebook they used stucco plaster mixed with pva for the walls, this gave a very natural concrete texture. http://www.infinitythegame.com/foro/...d59bec8339e2d4 Once I figure out how to post pics on warseer, Ill start a terrain blog with my first piece, an apartment block.

Well my brother also will be playing, but he has no Warseer account.
Maybe I can convince him to get one! (he's a pretty good painter considering he's only 14!)

News from the shop: my models are in, I just have to go pick them up (and pay for them. ) I'll probably pick them up on sunday and start on monday or tuesday.

I'll be using my own Appleseed-inspired rules, but it'll be pretty close in feel.

Great link! I'll have to go through that in more detail.

If you've not seen the Appleseed books they are great source material for terrain modelling ideas:

Halfway down this page there are a few scanned in pictures.
Otherwise have a look at the opening scenes of trailer for the newer Appleseed movie (Flash version on this site), (iTunes version).
There's a couple of screen shots here, not so useful but the doorways are quite handy for styling.
Also the background in this book cover.

******* sweet mate. I am sorry it has taken me so long to start singing you praises. I was lucky I was reading a thread that you had posted in. I cannot believe I havn't been on warseer for so long I missed this thread. I can't wait to see all those guys together. I will have to read everything so that I don't ask you questions twice. Back to reading I go. Have a good one mate and keep up the good work.

That sounds good and all mate but I unfortunately only found out about infinity when Fearfrost mentioned it. I do like the models but i havn't even looked it up properly yet (slow internet). I am mainly just collect warhammer 40K...I don't even really play. I need to get a couple more things and then I can start playing properly. Not to mention getting off my butt and finishing the bloody things off. I don't really see me getting into it anytime soon either, sorry mate... to many things going on.

    No worries then;

Ive been playing 40k for 14years now so if you ever want a game or anything let us know, Im getting into Infinity though as I find it a lot more interesting, and cheaper than buying a whole 40k army.
