Don't know where to start..
The eyes we can see look like Disney had a hand in them.. VVEERRYY creepy.
You need to use inks on your metalics, they have absolutely no shading and look terrible. Infact I see no highlighting nor shading on anything..
Bases.. WTF? It's like you just glued random stuff onto them. You need to add texture and build up, not add the extras and forget the entire ground level.
You don't seem to be a bad painter, it's just that you're skipping like 12 steps for no reason at all.
Good miniatures! I really think the cannon idea is very original!
I like the anvil of doom , nice characterful piece.
Maybe try an ink wash over the gyrocopter dude's beard and gloves!
Might help a bit.

Whatever can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time, in the worst possible way
These are great! If you can't be bothered to shade then you need to paint bold colours neatly in order for them to look good. I really really recommend that you start inking stuff. Just start subtly. 1 amount of black ink with 6-7 amounts of water. and run that over the cannon. Then do the same with flesh wash (yes thats right flesh) over the gold bits.
At the moment the chrome gun of doom just looks a little too BRIGHT AND SHINEY!
