yabadaba - sorry yes meant flank companies, 3 men would represent one company. works fine in 15mm (usually 6 to a base) so you'd need 3 grenadiers and 3 lights tho both flank companies were sent out to skirmish sometimes so makes sense to base them individually.
Not pedantic at all - this is napoleonics wer're talking

Hmmm... odd; I could have sworn that I had added Essex Miniatures. Anyways, thanks for the links - I have added those three manufacturers to the list.

Also add in two of my favorites:

Khurasan Miniatures: http://khurasanminiatures.tripod.com/ Make some of the best 15mm minis on the market IMHO.

QuickReactionForce: http://www.quickreactionforce.co.uk/ 15mm ancients/medievals (ex Feudal Castings), as well as a wide range of WW1/WW2/Modern 15mm.

Old Glory 15s: www.oldglory15s.com Different manufacturer from Old Glory 25s, focusing mostly on 15mm figures.

    Re: Historical Figures

As an aside I have been painting the Perry British line infantry the past week or so and they are absolutely brilliant sculpts. Couldnt be more impressed with them to be honest. I know they get some flak for the static poses, but they are brilliant for me. For better than the Victrix ones as well, but at those prices, it hardly matters anyway.

Did I point out how impressed I was? (:

Sash and Sabre make some great AWI, ACW, and Napoleonic figs in 28mm and 40mm. Great detail and very reasonable prices.

    Re: Historical Figures

Well, I finished that Perry Miniatures box of 28mm, plastic WoTRs Mercenaries.

There was very, very little flash. A very small amount of filling at join points for arms, heads etc. Not too much duplication of poses.

The scale is NOT like GW's version of 28mm. PM's minies are 28mm with sharp clean details.

    On to box two.

No one has added Redoubt yet?

    http://www.redoubtenterprises.com/

They do a wide range of historical periods in 28mm and most of their figures have seperate head options

They need to sort their photos out, I thought most of their studd looked like 15mm from the front page!

I didn't look too hard but I couldn't find a gallery- without being able to see the models I am reluctant to order from them.

    Re: Historical Figures

I can't vouch for all their ranges but the ACW stuff I've ordered has been very good and has as many photos (and missing photos) as the Perry's ACW range. There are many other manufacturers out there with hardly any photos on their sites. I often wonder how they get any business!

    Re: Historical Figures

The fourth pic down in this blog shows a number of Late medieval knights including GB and a GW Brettonian. There is quite a big size difference but it is mostly in the horse. If you have decent sculpting skills and the time you may be better off ordering some Conquest Games plastic horses and making caparisons for them.
