Good! Even though I'm starting to sound like an overexcited Japanese schoolgirl, I can't wait for Saturday to come! Mainly because I have nothing else to look foward, but that's a subject for a completely different kind of thread...

In any case, we should be merry about the new series!

P.S. You can see his companion in the trailer, she's called Martha Jones. From what I've seen I'm not exactly bowled over by her (in some scenes she looks unconvincing IMO) but it's harsh to judge her when we have only seen so very little of her, so I'll reserve my withering, witty criticisms for when I watch a full episode.

Apparently, Darlek Sec (Sek?) isn't the only Darlek to say "OMG! Plot twist activate!" when the good Doctor and the awful Rose opened the Void. I'm hoping Darlek Caan survived, purely because his single line in the last episode of the previous series was awesome.

Also: The Christmas Episode never happened, capiche?

    Re: "ZOMG! Doctor Who!"

IIRC, there is another Time Lord this series, but its not going to be Jack...

Jack disappeared in the last episode of Torchwood. Never got to see what happened. He was keeping the hand that the Doctor lost in the first Christmas Episode in a jar of preservatives and it started to move. Then, the Torchwood team came running into the main room as the familiar TARDIS noise fills the place, but Jack has gone.

If the Shakespeare episode doesn't live up to Blackadder I will be unimpressed.

"This is for every schoolboy and schoolgirl for the next four hundred years. Have you any idea how much suffering you are going to cause. Hours spent at school desks trying to find one joke in A Midsummer Night’s Dream? Years wearing stupid tights in school plays and saying things like ‘What ho, my lord’ and ‘Oh, look, here comes Othello, talking total crap as usual’. Oh, and...
...that is for Ken Branagh’s endless uncut four-hour version of Hamlet."

Just to get everyone's spirits up. Listen to it at full volume!

Jack had better be a Timelord. I mean:

    Travelled in time: Check
Partly Built/Grew Own TARDIS and Time Vortex: Check
    Regenerates: Check
    Kick Ass Attitude: Check

If he's not, I'll be a sad warseer!

Similarly, I'm keen to see if they do the same joke as they did in the third Episode of Eccleston's series, where Charles Dickens exclaims "What the Shakespeare!?" (As oppposed to "What the Dickens?"). Unfortunately, my literary knowledge fails me: Who is a famous literary figure before Shakespeare?

    Xisor

EDIT: I'm also keen to here if they'll be meeting Mr Dent or companions in "42"...

I've managed to avoid hating Russel T Davies so far, keeping it just at the level of 'total contempt' thanks to the sterling efforts of Messrs Ecclestone and Tennant.

If this is what I think it might be, then I may have to change my opinion...

Death's Head terminate you all, yes?

On the "42" episode: Dollars to Doughnuts that's the one with the Irish guy dressed as a Cat/Human Hybrid saying "You're oddly dressed for a Hitchhiker."

"Daleks in Manhattan" and "Evolution of the Daleks" are a two-part bit, and "Human Nature" and "Family of Blood", too. The Dalek episodes may involve those creatures which ended up doing bugger all in the Torchwood crap-tastic first series. I'm guessing humans with the Dalek Factor in them.

And if we're going to start hating on writers, then Chris Chibnall needs to be outlawed from writing. Did anyone see that episode of Torchwood with the Welsh Cannibals? Making an episode related to Doctor Who that bad should be outlawed or something.

Edit: Wait, "42" is written by my nemesis, Chris Chibnall, not by Davis. So instead of Davis writing a sucky story, it'll be Chris Chibnall writing yet another god-awful episode. Did they learn nothing from Torchwood?!

...That'd be so many kinds of awesome. Even as a cameo. But as a full-blown episode, that'd be cool having the Doctor outwit a psychotic robot bounty hunter.

Unfortunately, given that such ludicrously cool crossovers were only possible to Marvel UK's use of every licence ever and Marvel US not giving a damn as to what they did with them, I doubt it will ever happen.
