Then the tricky bit I did was to unravel the twine into smaller strands.
separate one into roughly equal groups and gently pull.
you may have to secure the lose end (I grabed it between my knees)
Because its going to want to twist and knot.
so there you go your perfectly weathered and scaled rope.

mh.. this seems quite easy.. so i have to get some cotton twine.. if i were not as lazy as i am i would be on the run already, but there always so many things to do.

what can we expect next? maybe a few larger pieces with some of the things you showed us before combined?

I'm not shure, but I still have a 2' pile of styrofoam left.
I'll probaly just finish the tower for now.
eventualy I will get you some pics of my earliest work.

Oops I accidently closed the thread for a little while...my bad.

Any way ... what do you guys think about a Rusty tin roof on the tower?
it's either that or a flat palm leaf roof or an A frame roof but with holes in it so figures can stand on the celing joist (sp?) undreneath?

also do yo think I should put a lot of plants on the base or prety much leave it as is. and I was thinking of puting a few vines hanging on the tower.

or maybe you have some other ideas ?

A rusty tin roof. Might as well do the heavy on plants and the vines too. Yeah, that's it......vines slowly creeping up the legs of the tower. Vines, do they hunger for the tower guards? Do they think of ripping the guards limb from limb Do they hear the deep breathing of the guards and then.......um, ohhhhh dear, never mind.

mh.. that railing looks quite good. maybe place a mini beside it to see the actual height?

oh.. and why not add some moss growing up this tower... i think it would blend in the piece on which the tower is standing with the tower itself. but thats just a suggestion

Only when I burn myself with the hot glue gun repeatedly.
man that thing is hot.

some more progress last night... I made green string for vines.
and I finished up all the rope work.

so that leaves glueing on the rest of the vines.
doing the lader
puting more plants on the base and
painting the base.

Whew

I'll finish this thing eventualy.

Glung vines... now thats something else that causes swearing!

yes quite painfull especial the way im doing it.
I'm hot glueing the vines to the main vine to make branches.
To do this I have to hit it with the hot glue real quick and
roll both pieces between my fingers befor it cools. Owww!
but it works, so wat are you gonna do.

Very, very good.......I hate to think how you would feel if your little brother/sister, dog/cat OR pet tree frog would do a number on that model Maybe you should find a nice place to send that tower when it's done, done done.

I think your stuff has real potential N810. I think you have done a good job with the bunker. The only suggestion I would make is that you should try to disguise the foam a little more by covering it with spackling or something. That will hide the little beads in the foam a little better. As far as selling on ebay goes, it depends on the amount of money you are looking to make. I have sold deveral terrain items on ebay and know for a fact that they don't go for what they are worth in the time alone that it takes to make them. That having been said, you can always give it a try. I have been fairly lucky, and have several return customers.

I made the bunkers for a friend.
if he gives me some money for them
then thats great. (my matereals probaly cost me $5 us)
yea yea if I made more their going to get tons of spackeling on them,
but then I won't be as eazy to make all the craters on them.
perhaps i'll just put a few coats of some heavy
latex house paint.

Ps.

That tower is stronger than it looks.
and yea it would suk if it broke.
but I could probaly hot glue it back
together prety quickly.

but i still demand to see minis in this terrain (that means.. if any are around)

if you´re using heavy latex paint, i guess it would be a good idead for my bridge to use real water, too....

whats are you gonna make next? maybe a small basecamp, fitting to the tower? punji pits? yeah..punji pits would be really cool... (i hope "punji" is spelled correct..in case it is not and nobody knows what i mean: those traps made by vietnamese soldiers in vietnam: hole in the ground, with pointy sticks pointing up on from floor, the hole covered/hidden with leaves and the likes, just to wait until some unlucky soldier fell in...)

I would willing accept any mini's you would like to donate as I do not own any Mini's.
and I haven't used any latex yet but I do plan On experiment on using some.
And My tower Isn't broke yet.

Those sound like good Ideas Punji's and some kind of camp would be kool.
