I just got myself some ol'Squats some weeks ago and I don't think that those typhus22 showed us look too bad. Sure, not models to base an army on, but I some of those thrown in with converted weapons will be okay.

GW would have no right to sue. They have no singuler rights to all "space dwarf" type of of models or imagery. Besides, these models resemble the old squats only in that they are short and have beards. The suits and weaponry carry only a very very vauge resemblance to the ones carried by squats and then only in that they are automatic looking and heavy looking.
As for people using them AS squats, I say go for it. GW made the huge mistake of removing them from the game, let those who want to keep these good very fluffy little guys alive any way they can do so. It hurts no one besides the pride of gw in rubbing thier faces in thier mistake.
If I remember right, the guy that designed the Scrunts is the same guy that designed many of GW's Squats - Bob Olley?

Yeah, that's my understanding. Frankly, I liked some of the old Squat figures (big-bellied biker boys excepted), but I really don't care for the Scrunts.
I've seen some of the stuff he's done for Reaper, and I just don't care for his stuff.
