    Possible IG stand in ?

Mongoose have released a sneak peak of their "light" MI (Movie ones) due for release in September

£15.00/US$ 24.95 for 20 but you do get a sets of heavy weapons sniper rifles etc.

Not sure if I prefer them over the Cadians but some might like them.

Would you like to know more?

Nice minis, they look alot like the old cadians, they look less bulky and agile. I wonder if they are smaller/bigger than the cadians?

I've only experienced the Dredd gang plastics but I found them a bugger to put together and the plastic hard and strangely slimy. Those look somewhat odd in their proportions and poses. I think I'd rather stick with GW.

they look sort of strange - the creases in the uniforms and the faces look a bit skewiff

Agreed, they look a bit ugly from where I'm sitting.

the more i look at the guy in the middle - the more he reminds me of a guy whos had his face run over with a steamroller

if the set has sniper rifles in it though i might get a box - i was unimpressed with the visors on the other versions though since they were flourescant green

They look "stretched", possibly good for IG from a slightly lover gravity world, not enough to make ogryns, but greater than that of terra (or these particular humans home planet.)

They could be guard with a "different" approach. Not tourney usable though and the models aren't really good at all. Still, handy for making that starship trooper vet squad i wanted.....

Really not keen on those starship troopers chappies, if mongoose want to pump out low quality then they need to undercut GW by a larger amount on their products .

Love the Imperial Regulars[The LatD troops], finally managed to pick up the warzone starter set for £23 on ebay so now have 40 of them to build up, as well as the 40 bauhaus, will use them to stand in for portions of my guard which is taking a while to build due to time needed to get the conversions right .

They look pretty slick. If I hadn't already committed to using WW II Germans for my IG, I'd be all over 'em.

They're a lot nicer than the GW stuff (guns aren't hilariously huge, hands and heads aren't laughably oversized) and the price is decent.

Re: Possible IG stand in ?

If they are similar in size to the current MI, then they will be too big. The current MI are about 2 mm taller than a cadian, taller even than a SM.

Oh well, low gravity world it is
