Should be all Travelling Mans now. Leeds has a very good stock.

Never had these problems with Maelstrom. I have always had good communications with them when having troubles. Not instant response, mind you, but always to my satisfaction.
Having said that, I do have waited for a while for PP stuff - but I have waited longer from Wayland, so that's not particular to Maelstrom. There are well-known issues with PP distributors in Europe, meaning that any "out of stock" items should be avoided or you should be prepared for a potentially long wait. Tough, but at least that your own choice. The real sin in this aspect is if you can't trust the stock indicators of a given retailer. That takes the informed choice away from you as a customer.
IMO, Maelstrom fails when talking pre-orders, since they tend to have rather generous release dates, but I have never experienced stock level issues with them. What is more than can be said about Wayland...
And yes, Maelstrom tend to be slowish (as in taking up to a couple of days) to dispatch an order. However, given the substantial savings for non-Brits in the form of free postage, I'll gladly live with that.
Ah, but that's been exactly my problem with Maelstrom, they've had stuff up as in stock, and then not been able to send it because it's now out of stock, even though said items are still showing as in stock on their site.
This has also happened with them with products from other game companies as well, so it's not just PP stuff.
Rang them a few times, just keep getting excuses/promises that were then broken e.g. 'It'll definately be sent tomorrow' - week later, still no items. There was no communication from them at all, unless I called them, not even a sorry type e-mail.
I've also waited a bit for wayland stuff, but no way as long and at least they sent a 'sorry for the delay' e-mail.
I'm glad you've had a good experience with Maelstrom, and I agree you way save a little bit of price, but I've given them several chances over the past year due to the good price, and every time the are just very poor in terms of customer service.
I'm french and i just order from Marauder Games. I hope they are fine and fast :-)
Hrafn.. richard from wayland here. Always interested in what customers have to say. PP supply is a nightmare in Europe at the moment.
As an example our Distro sent us only new releases in a huge order in the middle of December. With no explanation, fulfilment is only 20-30% normally. And we have no idea what is and isnt ins stock with them at anytime.
I am not trying to make excuses, but at some point the companies at the top of the supply chain need to take this seriously. It is hurting us, it is hurting them, but more importantly it restricts the growth of their game in Europe by alienating customers. I dont just mean PP here. We end up hoarding the stock that is available tying up lots of money that would be better off invested in new ranges etc.
I have other stores that sell in different markets and I can query suppliers in real time via API's etc, even tiny suppliers can give us availability info. None in gaming can.

Rich, nice to hear.
I did not mean to demean Wayland in particular, I just wanted to chime in with my experience. Which are what they are, I'm afraid.
But thanks for the information anyway. I had heard about the PP situation elsewhere, but I must admit that I'm still appalled at what manufacturers and distributors can get away with in the gaming industry![]()
Frankly, PP is doing a crap job as a business in the European market at the moment. Not being able to fulfil demand, nor indicate what is wrong and when it will be corrected, over such a protracted period is simply incompetent. The excuse about unexpected levels of demand is valid for one release cycle, not for multiple such release waves!
Let's be clear. This is an issue if you're ordering via Wayland etc.
As someone buying from my LGS I'm not having these issues.

Certainly depends on where you are. The local shops I have frequented recently did not seem to stock any Heavy Myrmidons for instance (which is a bit of a pain in the rear since Discordia has released!)
Keravin
Sorry just not true, we have thousands upon thousands of PP heavy orders fully filled with no issue. And retail stores cannot hope to stock the amount that we do, they just wont have the space to dedicate. And we are getting 25% fulfillment because the distros are not getting the stock from PP/Cerberus.
We have raised the issue again and again, and we cant do anything except purchase more and more when items become available. We have about £100k worth of PP at the moment. Large quantities of most items and none of items that we order again and again.
As a retailer we have to ask ourselves if the mfr doesnt want to ensure supply is good why should we continue to tie up funds in excessive levels of items that should be in quick and timely supply.
We want all the out of stock items on the shelves now. We want to sell you the product, we want the game to grow. It will struggle to expand while supply is poor.

Keravin,
most stores order a fraction of the ranges at once. They simply wont have space. We have 2000 sq feet of privateer stock which is larger than most stores. With large multiples of most items. We deal with multiple distributors and all have supply issues. We are not the only retailer to have this issue. We order almost the entire range every week from multiple locations. And those distros simply dont have the stock to fill our or other retailers orders. This supply issue has been publicised widely before in Europe. It is not specific to us or any other retailer.

As I said I was aware of the Wayland situation. If customers are having issues getting hold of stuff via online stores then go try their LGS if they have one stocking Warmachine as I know the LGS I run stuff at has been getting in orders without much trouble.
And yes that's a UK LGS.

so i received my order from Marauder Games in 3.5 weeks (I'm living in France). They are good :-)
For AUS stockists - www.phoenixforge.com.au is the place to buy PP gear.
Not only does Luke spring for registration and insurance, but his customer service is spot on.
You will NEVER find a complaint against Luke from the 'Forge.
Well, I guess I should ask it here... Why does every online store seem to be out of PP stock? Or at least khador items. I heard a rumor they can't get their stuff exported from china at the moment, is that it? I don't even know where they cast their miniatures, so that could be wrong...
Depends which online stores you mean.
There have been issues getting stock in for the online stores. The only stuff made in china are the plastics and they don't seem to be having the same issues they initially had. Khador I've not seen any problems getting stock in for for the stuff I help my LGS in the uk and we're doing fortnightly orders at the moment.

Mostly meant boostep and Maelstrom games... But almost everything that's out of stock is either out-of-stock at the supplier or has at least 20 days to process. I find that kind of weird, has PP become so popular they don't have enough minis to send to retailers?
Yes there has been a massive ramp up in demand. There's threads about it for the US as well on the PP forums.
