Re: Where you can buy Warmachine/Hordes

Ordered from arcane miniatures over a week ago and they have not even sent any notification that they have recieved the order.

The money has gone out of my PayPal account and I have sent 2 emails asking for some information.

I'm giving them until the end of the business day on Monday to reply or I'm cancelling the order.

Have to say that I'm not impressed by them.

Another +1 for Travelling Man in Leeds. If they don't have it, they'll order it.

I'm sure it's been mentioned before but Maelstrom have been exceptionally good. Any order I have put in with them has been with me within 5 days, and that's with 2nd class post!
Their site is also linked to stock levels, which is in fact accurate, as opposed to others I have encountered *cough* Wayland Games *cough*

Re: Where you can buy Warmachine/Hordes

Arcane miniatures still have not responded to me and I have had to open up a case against them in PayPal.

Whilst I am not doubting that Arcane do deliver sometimes, I think it is more important that they do not deliver all the time. To have not responded to my questions in any way at all is just plain rude and bad business. How hard is it to respond to an email?!

My advice would be to serioulsy think twice before ordering from Arcane miniatures, from evidence in this thread, they appear to be completely hit and miss when it comes to running a business.

I placed an order through Gifts for Geeks and they answered all of my questions etc. instantly. I will use these guys again.

Just got the bits and pieces I need to start playing from dark sphere in london. Their website is www.darksphere.co.uk.

They were really helpful, didn't really pressure me in the shop, and helped me out with a protectorate of menoth army. Had a good laugh in the shop, it was a pretty awesome shopping experience, I'd recommend them, I understand their prices are 10% off RRP and free postage (not sure if it's free overseas shipping though).

I'm in the same situation as you Ace, placed an order and a weeks gone by without so much as a confirmation that the orders even been placed. Really, really bad way to run an online store. If nothings come to me by friday i'll be opening a Paypal dispute as well.

Even if the stuff does come i won't be using them again and i wouldn't recommend others do either.

Re: Where you can buy Warmachine/Hordes

Basically, I emailed the guy saying that I wanted my money back (hence the PayPal case) and that I had gone elsewhere. Just before the PayPal case was about to close and I was going to get my money back when he dispatched the goods without informing me (I found out through PayPal).

So I left a strongly worded voicemail message and equally strong worded emails to all of his accounts that I could find telling him to sort the mess out.

Next day (still with no contact from this poor businessman) I found £70 from him in my account (a few pence more than a refund).

At this point I sent him some more emails asking him what way would be best to send the goods back to him... I have predictable had no response.

I have no idea how this guy can be making any money at all, he has the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

I do all the day to day stuff of an online business by myself and it is not that hard to answer an email or pick up the phone.

    This guy is ridiculous.

Re: Where you can buy Warmachine/Hordes

Opened a dispute this morning after a week of being completely ignored. Tried his voicemail, email and form thing and had zero response. Like you said Arnie, it takes five seconds to send an email to confirm the order or answer a query. And if you are incapable of doing so, you really, really shouldn't be running your own online store.

It is the store I use

As you say, they are from the USA, but are the cheapest way I can get PP stuff to Australia.

Here is their link, separate from eBay: discountgamesinc

I don't play PP but just thought I'd plug my FLGS as his prices are great and if you're anywhere near Chester/Liverpool well worth a visit.

Very good customer service, I've used them a few times recently and the guy can order in if you can't get what you want in store!

Re: Where you can buy Warmachine/Hordes

Just put in a big order with gifts for geeks as my wife wants to start up warmachine and I'm after some khador, so we picked up the two player box and a few other bits.

Will let you all know how the order goes, hopefully it shouldn't take longer than a week as everything was in stock. Fingers crossed.

    *EDIT*

Update, I was expecting my order to be dispatched today at the earliest with an estimated delivery date of next wednesday or later.
Imagine my surprise when the postie came with a large parcel, not only that but it had been sent recorded delivery and I didn't even have to pay postage!

I can't recommend these guys enough, very happy with the service, a big thumbs up to them.
