    WIP scratchbuilt Tyranid Cruiser

I recently decided to build a Tyranid fleet for BFG. One of the great things about a 'Nid fleet is that you can make a whole bunch of ships without buying a single one. You just need some spare 40K parts.

Anyway, I built this beastie out of a Carnifex carapace, 2 barbed stranglers, a set of old scything talons, stealer talons, and 2 plastic spore mines from BFM. Some green stuff was used to bulk it up a bit.

Does anyone have any links to other tyranid conversions for BFG? That would be super useful.

The organic GS work on the bottom looks really good, I like it. It definitly has that Tyranid feel. Going to do anything else to it, or is this the final piece?

At the moment, this is it. However, I am currently working on a drone as we speak. I'll put it up later. This is one of my first real attempts at using a larger amount of greenstuff and trying half-**** sculpt. Turned out not too bad.

Wahoo! I'm not the only person on warseer building a 'nid fleet!

I just found an awesome battleship conversion today. I'm having trouble linking a photo of it, but this page has links to photos at the top and directions of how to make it at the bottom. It's worth a visit!

I'm slapping together a cruiser myself, though it doesn't have the nice sculpt job yours has (my tools consist of a razor blade & my fingers). I'm happy to take a shot of it if you like. I think the core structure of it worked well.

This site has got loads of conversions of ships of all sizes too. Some of them are pretty rough, but don't let them fool you! There are some nice ones hidden in there. I'm especially fond of "Hive Ship 2" and "Tyrakreuzer 5".

I'd just like to say theae are all awesome

Makes my attempts at conversions and such seem quite depressing really - ah well, more practise I suppose...
