With the nids upon us this log will be updated once again.

After playing Necrons, and Dark Eldar for a while, I have decided to get a new army.

I picked Tyranids because, models are cool, awesome in cc, and can have a lot of firepower if your in close range.

So I made this log to motivate me to get a 1500pt army.
So far I have,

1 Carnifex
35 Termaguants
8 Hormogaunts
8 Genestealers
3 Warriors
4 Rippers

Anyways I'd like to get some feedback on them, oh yeah they are also going to be dipped

Well, the colors are very flat. That's all I can really say, they just look dull, highlight, drybrush, please do something interesting.

what is the color your using for the exoskeleton parts? Is that one of the new foundation paints?

I second akamanah's comments, why does it always seem that when contemplating a new army (and fighting the urge to go broke getting it) the boards are suddenly filled with tons of inspiring logs like yours....

Great work on the tyranids; I know people who dont get dipping might think they look poor, but your lines are very neat, and these should turn out great after some staining.

you should also get yourself a tyrant for the army. cant wait to see the finished results!

Yay an update!

I got some models dipped, they still need to be dullcoated, and I might do a little touch up's on the green, and their base will be painted but here they are.

Finished the Green on the 2 Warriors, now just have to fixe the purple, and then get some dullcoat, and dullcoat them to get rid of the shinyness.

What do you think would look good for their bases?

No comments for a while, what nobody like my nids anymore?

Well I would like some feedback on how you like the skin tone. What I'm doing right now is taking all of the dipped models, and painting a thing layer of the scaly green over the dipped green.
(The dipped green looks to much like brown blotches.)

I also have fixed the purple, leaving the brown in the recesses. I have finished the Guants and 2 Warriors. All they need now is their base painted and to be dull coated. But I first need to buy some dull coat. I have tried a base on one genestealer that I really like, I'll post a pic later with the rest of the models.

I dig the slimy look, but you might want to give them a quick drybrush to highlight everything for some more shading... I guess... Nice color scheme, haven't seen one like it yet! Keep it up!

They will will be dull coated so they aren't so shiny. The Green looks much better painted than dipped which doesn't make them so glossy.

I shall post some pics tommarow on what I have done.
