Of course what would really help was if you were actually allowed to take lascannons in line infantry squads under the DKoK seige list. If this is a normal doctrine guard force then just ignore me.

not to destroy your hopes crippler, but Dkok infantry squads cant take heavy weapons in the squads
oops sorry, i didnt read someone already pointed that out, sorry crippler, you could always make a heavy weapons platoon
Yeah was thinking that myself, but I already have 3 mortars, 3 heavy stubbers and three heavy bolters, now I need to buy another 2 las cannons and 2 auto cannons, may just keep the additional heavy bolter as a spare!!!!
I can't wait to pick up 3 thudd guns to add to my 3 heavy mortars. Even unpainted, all that artillery looks awesome when arranged!

Apparently you can still take heavy bolters, stubbers and autocannons in the infantry squads, it's just the lascannons and mortars that have to be in support squads. Apparently.

I am afraid this is going to have to wait, as I want to finish my ultramarines first.
As for the scheme, I think it will have to be along the lines of WW1, so either a german or a french scheme.
