Anybody recognize this terrain and would it...

    Hi,
Does anybody recognize these terrain pieces (OTHER THAN THE GW TREES), and if so, would they be the correct size for GW games terrain?

Tamiya has been going longer than 30 years. Japanese Company that does mostly WW2 and modern display model kits , oh and roxxor RC stuff. The scale isnt the same as 40k (35mil instead of the 28 mil) stuff but still worth using.

Terraform? I thought they went bankrupt.

Dunno the one in blisters... never seen those before

The blisters go along with some nifty RC mini tanks I saw a while back, I think. They're closer to 15mm than 28mm.

Correct. The barricades are good. I use them myself, along with the vehicle accessories from the same series. The RC-infrared tanks are a mix of scales that defies actual realism.

The Tamiya barricades and the sandbags are 1/35 but I've used them for years for 40k. The auction description should tell you the scale of the terraform piece but it looks like generic rubble.

Well, they arent from an auction. A guy wanted to trade them to me. He said they along with a GW ruins on sprue and some barrels and stuff were worth around $40.

I am still waiting to hear back from him concerning there size. But I figured I would try to find out here in the mean time.

I need some terrain for my games, but I dont want to get the wrong size and have it look silly. Know what I mean?

For what it's worth in the "almost-useless-info" department, 1/35th scale items are closer to 54mm than anything else (1/32 is 54mm figure equivalent scale).

That said, I use all manner of 1/35 scale scenery for my 40K games; it all works just fine.
Apparently, he had a very good time:

The size would be OK, but I have serious doubts regarding the price...

Here is the list I was given:

    Tamiya sandbags on sprue,
Tamiya barricade set new in box,
2 sets of trees for 40k starter set,
1 set of building ruins from starter set,
a bag of small ruble pile from armorcast still new in bag,
sandbags and road blocks from VS,
lots of misc barrels crates-some from armorcast and some from tamiya kits.
expecting more armorcast terrain in trade

Terrain- around $49 not counting misc barrels, crates, or incoming armorcast

I think he is basing this on retail?? I really dont know much about this terrain or its value. Hence my post here.

Dosen't look like $40 buck worth of stuff to me, but then I'm notoriously cheap...

Terraform has some of the best quality resin terrain pieces I ever purchased. Sadly Armorcast (the company) stopped producing terrain before I could place a major offer. They are of the right scale.

The other pieces I don't know about except GW which Ruins and Battlefield scenery I rate good ,and the plastic trees I think of as redundant - those are too small for more than decorative work.

I would always ever pay half of retail price in a second hand trade.
