Looking good H,
love the gobbos!!The scheme on the dragon is very subtle- looking forward to seeing how he develops- a few pieces of contrasting colour [like the mouth] should set off the scheme perfectly.

Dear Harry,
I love the Goblins. I am doubting myself in wich colours to paint my goblins. I am also using white undercoat.
My thoughts are:
- Scorpiongreen + Thaka Green Wash(es) (gw)
- Goblingreen + Thaka Green Wash
You used the last one, didn't you?
- Gnarkill
I finally got my VPN working. Now i can follow your fantastic painting adventures once again even though imageshack for some inexplicable reason is banned in China.
I really love watching your painting. Not only is it only getting better and better, you are also producing at a pace very few people can keep up with. And of course you have a very good taste in models (and the largest collection in the world).
you have more??? I always try to get some on ebay, but they always end up way too expensive for me.
I would really love to see some pics of your whole collection!

It sometimes feels like I am just plodding along.
When you just take it one bite at a time it does not seem so much.
And, as you say, it is spread over a couple of years .... sometimes with biggish breaks when life got too hectic.
But I realize, taken as a whole, it is starting too look like .... a fair bit of painting.
Lots of interest in the Dragon ... so i shall crack on with it.
THIS dragon is going to be actually white (well ... grey and white) as he is a moon Dragon in my head.
It is indeed to go with the very simple scheme of the elves ... although they will hav ehints of blue (the gems and sashes , etc.) So the Dragon will also get the odd splash of colour.
With regard to Krell I would opt for the 40mm base, certainly looks better and as you don't seem to be a powergamer there's really no downside.No. Not really a power gamer.
I was thinking I could also do a few skellies coming up out of the ground ... so when he was in a unit and his base a unit filler at least it would represent the appropriate number of minis .... as this was something that came over as important to gamers in a thread about unit fillers.
Errrrrm Not exactly.![]()
I can turn out a legal Khorne army and probably Vampire counts and must be close with Dwarves and the Nurgle stuff. Then there are my speed painted Tomb Kings near the start of the thread.
But thanks for asking.
Many thanks.
Thanks. My favorite banner.I have used it in three different armies already.
OK, I will do some more.
I hope so.
Thanks. I am making progress. Updates soon.
I used both. The spearmen are goblin green and the latest grots are scorpion green as I thought they might look good a bit brighter. But on these I used the old waaaagh green ink ... again it is a bit brighter. The spearman are thus a bit more subtle.
Nice to have you back.
I have hit a good patch on the painting ATM so enjoy it while it lasts.
I am not sure about the largest collection in the world ... but I do have quite a large collection.
I bought a lot of them very cheaply on e-bay. Just looking casually and buying them when I see them going cheap a few at a time. Often needing stripping .... I probably have only paid £1 a man. You just need to be patient and wait until their are sales without many bidders. I have been lucky.

Here he is with some of the Spawn I painted before ... He looks quite at home.

Those spawns (spewn? spawnices?) are impressive too; I especially like the wing-of-the-fly. How is it made?

I also did some work on a new improved base for Krell:
i think you can see where I am heading if i pop it next to Nagash's base. They should make a nice pair.
I also had a little think about the command group for the Undead legions that Krell will be leading to ensure he will be nicely framed by them.

I love that Krell-base! To think you would have damned him on a 25mm base...
Really looking forward to see some more Skellies - must be my newly found interest in Cryx that I like me some undead right now.
About that PM I sent you a while ago, I basically wanna give you my oldschool hunchback Chaos Warriors because you are far and wide the only person I can imagine that would actually enjoy those (and they are decently painted too, so no troubles for you there). I want to get rid of most of my Fantasy stuff by the end of the year, so... yeah. Pictures of them are in my Fantasy Plog.

Finally decided to comment on here as well...
It's so great seeing all these classic minis here, painted so well, too.
That skeleton standard bearer model next to Krell has always been one of my big favorites.
Makes me miss Morley a bit, he did such a good job on most of the old undead models, and generally, I think he had more hits than misses sculpt wise.
I think his metal zombies still are the best zombie models to date. By the way, do you have any of those in your collection, Harry?![]()
Great work as usual Harry!

Krell is shaping up nicely, and that Wall of Pus is a tribute to Nurgle indeed !
I really like how Krell is coming along, the base is very inventive
Everything is fantastic!!! I have been following your project log for awhile and was wondering if you could post a picture with as many models as you can fit in. Just to give me a scope of your collection!![]()
I realy like the base for Krell. Very Good work.
Here some proposal how you could turn out more of the armour with a very simple step. Shade the armour of the helmet to the top and the armour of the shoulder armour in the middle. The first is use of rule 2 and the second a combination of rule 1 and 2 of my NMM rule-set I have wrote down in my Log. Even if its for NMM it works the same for True Metal Metal (TMM)
Here a photoshoped pic of Krell after adding these simple shadings:
It´s very simple but makes a much better effect. I hope you like it.
Kind Regards
GeOrc
Thanks he does look a bit better 'framed' by a bigger base.
Lots more bones to come with this army.
PM sent.
Thanks.
Yup great mini. Gary Morley gets a lot of stick but he did some cracking sculpts. I love all his undead stuff but he sculpted stuff for lots of fantasy armies in his long GW career and many more hits than misses.
Yes 100.
Made a start on them a while back:
THANKS FELLAS.
Thanks.
It would be a bit tricky ... I have quite a few models you see.
At some point I will take a step back and try and show you the main shelves ... one for each fantasy army.
I am glad you like the bases.
Believe it or not ... They were both inspired by you! (specifically your recent win)
But more importantly by the first lesson you ever taught me....to think about the narrative of the mini. To tell the story.
It was thinking about Nagash, being 'supreme Lord of the undead' and drawing them to him that made me think he would be hard pressed to walk around the old world without tripping over undead bodies springing up from the ground to follow their master.
Then after he raised Krell, and chose him for his champion, putting him in command of a legion of undead, I imagine him having the same problem.
Also, thanks for this recent lesson. Amazing to me that you can make a photoshop look better than my painting .... thanks a bunch.![]()
I will of course endeavor to put into practice this lesson however I feel I will fall short of even your photoshopped effort never mind your actual painting ... but I will give it a bash ... and I know my mini will be better for it.
Thanks for taking such an interest in my work.
As always it is greatly appreciated.

@ Harry,
I´m very honoured that my work inspired yours and also the work of so much other ppl here on the board. I like your miniatures a lot because you choose all these fantastic classics from the beginning of my hobby time. Thanks for take care of these miniatures
Let´s see that this Krell will become a really outstanding piece of your collection
And so here the next lesson
I take some time to do the same shading on the axe blade as on the other parts. Important is that the transitions will go in opposite directions and that the shades extend on the outside of the areas and concentrate on top and on the other site at the bottom. The line in the middle will be the reflection line, in NMM finelined with pure white. This isn´t necesarry here, but the shading will help to get a better metal look. A tip here, if you have the old glossy black ink from GW, use it instead of Chaos Black. The Ink won´t kill the metal effect when shading. There is also the possibility to highlight a metal surface. If you would do that mix mithril silver with a bit skull white and add a small bit ot gloss vanish. The gloss vanish will have the effect that all normal colours still have some shiny effect and your metal colours won´t suffer by them. Here the photoshop pic:
I´m looking forward seeing your progress on this fantastic miniature.
Kind Regards GeOrc
