Quite nice, although now the pink Ghouls look a tad healthy.

What I like about the new Ghouls is their hunch and stoop, as well as the skin piercings and equipment. The spine spikes are destined to be carved off from mine, and the Ghouls themselves will probably be halfway between normal skin and grey-green. I'm sure it's possible to make a disturbing Ghould unit with some older GW and Mantic Ghouls mixed in, although I don't have access to such fine ol' gentlemen as those found in your log.

lol at the ghoul missing its genetalia. Love your collection.

On the pink ghouls... maybe a black or grey wash... You could try a blue wash. Asurmen blue over skin could darken it enough. Blue wash darkens skin tones and should bring it to the level where they blend with the grey ones, without losing the pinkiness. Just some suggestions lol.

I like the midtone ones. I've never imagined ghouls with anything other than grey/brown/green skin. It's funny how we get so used to specific colors being "normal", even with made up creatures.

Sounds like I'm the only one that still likes the 'healthy' ghouls.

They're a reminder that ghouls are still human and not undead yet. But I also got into Warhammer back in 6th and that was the paint scheme at the time so that's probably why I'm partial too.

No, I like them better than the grey ones, too . The skin is maybe a bit too fresh, but I don't understand the logic of "eating corpses turns your skin grey", so I prefer my ghouls more human.

    Hey Harry, hope you're well.

Just spent the last few days catching up with this - your work rate is still phenomenal! Also, I've been asked to pass on a message about the high elf castle:

Nice job on the ghouls, like those old models. I used one myself as a unit filler. cool keep it coming

OK I will give that a try

I like all the piercings and what not and they are well sculted ... it is the very similar body positions that spoil the new plastics for me.

It is. As originally human they should be pinkish. Yet the GW paint colour ghoul grey firmly established their colour as grey.

Yup ... that was when they changed. 5th/6th edition.

Me too. I have been changing my mind even as I type these answers. I am thinking I may repaint the very grey ones somewhere in between the the warm flesh and the mid tone ones to make them tighter as a unit.

LOL well I have slowed down a bit as work commitments have increased and increased.
But I do want to see that castle finished.
Maybe when GW return to HE this will give me the inspiration to return to my HE and do some more.

Here are the snotlings again. They are now finished with static grass on the bases.

Here is some even older lil' green skins ... much older.

    ...and even SMALLER!

These are pre-slotta "Lesser Night Goblins".
They are rare as hell, a b@gger to find on e-bay and I really want a couple more if anyone has some.

I very nearly based these up as snotling swarms for use with my Night Goblin army ... which would have been cool.
But in the end my ongoing interest with skirmish games and dungeon bashing won the day and I based them up individually.

Those Night Goblins look very nice. They strongly remind me of the illustraded version (or graphic novell) of The Hobbit... Great models and a nice paint job!

Nice goblins as always Harry. Were the shields part of the original model, or were they liberated from some other source?
    I'm back.

Tonight Michael, I am going to be painting... My painting plog. Come and have a look.

Part of the original on piece sculpt. Makes me want to buy a bunch more from somewhere and do my bigger goblins with something similar though.

Little goblins are great. I missed the chance to buy some not long ago and missed out. Nice to see such old models given attention. These are one of those sets I've really only seen unpainted examples of.

Cute! But honestly - the bases must have taken you just as long time to paint as the rats Not that it's a bad thing, everything looks great.
