Thanks, well mine have been painted twice now.
They did. However it took me longer getting around to painting the bases than it took to actually do them. i find bases a bit of a chore.
Thanks.

Very good Handgunners, love the Eagle on the breastplate, and the army shot is suitably impressive !
You know, you never cease to amaze me ... I should take a page from your book and get my behind in gear, but I simply have to much to do with Real Life stuff to even think about painting for the moment![]()
Thanks. Eagle copied from an old photo of this mini in White Dwarf.
My life is pretty hectic too ... the trick is just to do a little bit ... make a start ... then do a bit more ... before you know it you a doing a bit here and there ... very soon you are finding time to do a bit regularly.

Sadly no. I am ashamed to say all my stuff just sits on open shelves gathering dust. It gets the dust brushed off it from time to time when it comes down for a photograph or a game but thats it.
Are you saying he is a bit on the small side?
It could be the Dwarf is just very big.
In fact the marauder skeletons were quite beefy compared to the citadel skeletons at the time.
They look human sized next to the marauder humans from the same era.

Yes ... that is the problem. It would be a huge expense to buy enough to cabinets to put everything in. I think I am passed the point I can consider glass cabinets. In less i come across a room full going very cheap one day.
Yes. That is great isn't it.

The freehand on those hand gunners is really great, also I really like the stripey trousers on your pirates, not something people often pull off well (the stripes I mean not the trousers)!

There are some more little bits of freehand on these guys.
Painting these is a bit random and not heralding the start of a lot of Bretonnians from me ...although these are the start of a vintage Bretonnian army I have to paint before I die. I look forward to GW returning to Brets and I will get stuck into these. But meanwhile having finally picked up all the command figures after a while of searching I couldn't help getting some paint on these guys straight away:

Those cream-coloured tabards and capes are wonderfull ... stunning technique !
FAntastic grimey knights there. The blue makes a nice contrast to to the cream.

Wow your work looks very cool again. As an Empire builder I love your vintage Empire. I still need to refurbish my old steam tank. But I have still so much to do.
and... I'm jealous again! Love your collection. that Empire army reminds me of some of the first fully painted armies I saw on the table, except.. well.. bigger! gotta love those 40 figures 3rd/4th edition armies![]()
A shake of this and a sprinkle of that, then BAM!!!! It's my PLOG! (contains dark elf, dwarf, lizards and more)
