Guard, nids, and a multitude of mysterious things!

Well these logs look nifty, so I thought I’d give one a go.

I’ve got a Guard army on the go at the minute, and I’ve still got a way to go before it’s finished. Here’s the current list for them at the minute, all with pretty colours!

CompletedSo very close-Half way there!-Primed-Unassembled-Not Bought

    HQ

    Command Squad
    Mortar

    Elite

    10 Kasrkin

    Troops

    20 Kasrkin- [2 Kasrkin- 8 Kasrkin]

    2 Chimeras

    Fast Attack

    3 Sentinels - [1 Sentinel]

    Heavy Support

    Leman Russ

All that gets me to just under 1000 points. I’ll be getting this far, then I’ll be adding another Russ, more Sentinels and some Heavy Weapons. At that point I’ll be breaking up my next planned army, Tyranids, with those extra Guard. Here are some pictures of the completed Command Squad to whet your appetite, and I should finish the first Sentinel tonight.

I've tried and tried to get decent pics, but to no avail. If I use the commonly used white to blue background, would that improve picture quality?

Not to worry, this log is in General as after the two 40k armies, there will be fantasy. C&C always appreciated dear reader.

Here's the Sentinel and a little test for the upcoming Nids. The weapons and gubbinz for the sentinel still need to be painted, although the front armour plating is complete, I won't be putting it on until I've finished the pilot. On the nid, only the front two legs and head are completed, and I'm going to put a scab red shading in the recesses. C&C welcome. I've hopefully taken some better photos this time, and I'll try to get round taking better pics of the Command Squad.

As for progress, I've just about finished four Kasrkin and the Sentinel, so pics will be up shortly.

Alright then, here are the next pics. Excuse the lighting, it had a lot of evening light in there.

Cheers, a Genestealer brood will be coming soon.

@SC: Cheers, I'll take it as a compliment.

2 Kasrkins were finished last night, and the last four will be done (hopefully) by tonight. I'll post pics then.

Re: Guard, nids, and a multitude of mysterious things!

Here are some hopefully better pics of the almost finished squad. I didn't bother taking pics of the details etc. as I figured you 1) You couldn't care less and 2) I couldn't be arsed.

I won't be using the launcher in game, but I kept it for flexibility. Btw, has ayone got any ideas for the sentinels? I need some ideas to give some variation to the squad. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

Re: Guard, nids, and a multitude of mysterious things!

Ok, I got a little distracted with the Four gamers (or should it be 40? ) thread, and only a little got done on the final two Kasrkin. However, I did make some progress on a model for the Death Guard I'll be doing for the thread mentioned, and I thought I'd show you a cheeky sneak peek. Very early stage, and plans so far are to add a nurgle symbol to the shoulderpad, a snake tongue out of his mouth, wires (or his brain?) behind his head and perhaps some guts coming out of his stomach. (There's one little thing already, but I doubt you can see it) I was wondering what ideas you could come up with for the Death Guard, as although I have some, it'd be nice to have some input on them.
