Welcome bretherin to the glorious 8th. Our company is orientated to fast attack and assault.

The colour scheme, chapter symbol and colour palette are here.
A sample colour guide is here.
Company Markings are a White Roman Numeral 8 (VIII) on the left knee pad, kneepad may be painted codex grey, which is our Company Colour. A squad may opt to paint their shoulder pad rims codex grey as well, or leave them the standard blue.
Squad markings are in white on the right shoulder pad. Squad numbers may be in black roman numerals within the squad symbol.
You should reserve a name for your marine here.

I've been talking to Wintermute about potentially expanding/changing some of the squads in the 8th to possibly reflect Landspeeder or perhaps Bike squads. We'll see how things go. Might also look at drop pod mounted squads also if a squad wishes to give up their jump packs.

Haedrus Kern is a fiery Marine, only granted his full status as a Battle-Brother recently. He has shown a distinct skill and affinity for close combat, even besting a pair of Striking Scorpions when separated from his squad. He still carries the pair of biting blades he retrieved from their crumpled corpses; though he has had them thoroughly gone over by the Techmarines to ensure there is no lingering xenos taint.

Many times it has been said that Haedrus' zeal will see him either rise to great heights within the chapter, or die a glorious but early death.

Reinn is a steady battle brother, who early on during his years as a neophyte, was seen to possess a tendency to favour close combat. Accordingly when he became a full battle brother he was an assault marine.
He is prided in that he belongs to a company full of brothers of similar heart to him, that love of close combat and ferocity that so resembles his own character.
Though he would not admit it, a part of him feels slighted at the fact that, in his eyes, there seems much less glory to be had as being in a reserve company.
