The cables were coated with 4+ layers of Vallejo Still Water for the glassy effect.

They were weathered with dry pastels for that dusty look.

Oh, and they do have LEDs in their heads.

I have lost the pics of Prometheus Battleknight due to camera battely failure during uploading pics, I will do them again with the 2 hellstalkers today.

    Comments welcome!

Well, awesome stuff here. The painting and conversions are extraordinary cool.
May I ask which rules you use for which models?

That Helstalker (Helhound stand in i guess?) is insane, and those BattleKnights are plain kickass.

Adeptus Mechanicus... my favourite army EVER.

    Hortwerth... my favourite painter/converter/sculptor.

    This army is pure GOLD.

You mentioned *producing* some of the models... where can I buy them?
What is in a name? An Ork by any other name would still see us as meat.

    It's all been said!!!

These are trully sweet. I much preffer these to the mechanicus mark 1. These have a proper gothic feel to them. I must say I would love to see a couple of WIP pictures if only to get a feel for just how much work went into creating these.

My hat is off to you sir ! once again a superior Quality army!!

    Woah

Amazing work, Hortwerth - I just know somehow that if/when FW get round to making Ad Mech stuff it won't be as unique and characterful as this army.

My only criticism is that as the Knights have no cock-pit for a driver (unlike most takes on them), the model isn't quite balanced out so the legs look a bit too spindly.

But hey, I'd never be able to produce work of this quality in a million years, so who am I to criticise!

    Awesome!
Is the walker Russes and Hellhounds?

Always great to see a truly original army like this. How many defilers gave their lives for the vehicles?

    Re: Adeptus Mechanicus army Mk2

    Thanks a lot for comments!

The infantry models (Hattiphnatii ) are my own sculpts and will be available from the second part of August from Micro Art Studio. We will take some for the Euro team tournament in Gorzow Wielkpolski on 11th&12th of August 2007.

The Battleknight models count as Leman Russes. The rectangular base under the round cd-base is of the exact russ size, and helps deciding which facing is towards the enemy.
    The Hellstalker counts as hellhound.
Hattiphnatii infantry are IG with Abhumans and Slave Levies doctrine.
The Archtechnomagos counts as Daemonhunters Inquisitor in terminator armour, with Psycannon, hood, tarot, etc - the exact wargear depends on the size of game.
Engineseers are Engineseers, Electromagos counts as Eversor (obviously). Skiitarii count as Veterans.
Hattiphnatii Riders count as just Rough Riders with lances.

The beauty of having troops of your own devising is that as long as you keep the WYSIWYG coherent, you can count various parts of the models as some extra wargear. I could easily field the models with many other Guard doctrines, as long as I keep things counting as the same throughout the entire army. If I say the legs on the tanks count as Rough Terrain Modification (don't they?), I have to field every walker with this upgrade.

    Now, onto the pics!
