I think everything looks great. Tell me, the Forgeworld upgrade you used to get the shotguns and such, it looks like the Torso/Arms/Head was all one piece. Is this so?

If they were seperate when you got them, can you tell me what pieces it came in? Mainly I wonder if the heads were attached or unattached.

The heads were unattached. They come all on 1 sprue. And the arms were molded with the bodies. FW has some good pics of the upgrade sprues here: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/cadvets.htm

Amazing work, i love the blue armour, it sticks out, and the sentinel looks weathered and rusty, but a whole guard army with FW heads? I was going down that path, only half of my lads have them, though i am looking to get them all with backpacks..but again, keep up the great work!

Thanks alot. Yeah, it was wicked expensive. But I had to do it. I wanted my army to have a different look to it. And with them being an ice planet I figured some type of heated respirator system would be the way to go.

Thanks man. I wish I had more time to paint, but with a 14 month old, and grad school and full time work I am lucky to get any painting done at all.

Sure, next round of updates (which are coming soon, the sentinel is almost done and the CMD HQ is 99.9% complete.)

I'm liking the bright blue on the dull grey, it's got a good contrast without being too OTT. You using enchanted + blue ink and ice highlights?

actually the blue is vallejo game color magic blue.
I use a GW blue ink and then GW Ice blue for a highlight.

The white balance on my camera was way jacked up so the blue looks even lighter than it does in the real world.
