Really nice stuff here although the blue rims on the bases are a bit odd.

Its too close to the armor color I think, maybe a lighter blue, or white?

Some of that might be the settings on my camera as the base rim is shadow grey and the armor etc. is vallejo magic blue. They dont look as close in tone in person.

I will try some photos in natural light to get the colors better.

Thanks alot. I am trying hard to find ways to make the Cadians look anything but like Cadians. Thats why I am doing the winter/respirator thing.

With the input on the colors I can imagine the rim as being really nice.

Only thing I would say is that the grass is longer than the snow, this should be vice versa IMO. If you could get the snow on a higher level it would look great.

Its a spring melt kind of thing... tundra, steppe etc.

A quick update on my Ice Drakes:

Here was the close ups of the commander someone asked for.



Squad 1, more WIP. Inked and have flocking in the ground. Ready for toning and shading and the rest.



And Squad 2 a WIP. Assembled & the like.

The 75th Logres Prime Ice Drakes have applied for more Air & Heavy Support, thus 2 Machirius Superheavies (1 Vanquisher & 1 Vulcan Variant) and 1 Thunderbolt fighter are en-route from the Ryza Forge World dispatch. They will be added to the 163rd Logres Prime Arctic Wyrms contingent.

Thanks guys, I actually have been doing a lot of work on these guys. An update is forthcoming, its just a matter of getting around to taking the photos.

Long over due update.


Here is squad one more than 50% complete. I need to tighten up the grey, do the metallic bits again. Start the highlighting process and the based work.




Cmd Squad A. Trying a new approach with these guys, Using the GW ink washes and I must say I like how they sit on the models and are less glossy than what I was using. I think this is how I will forge ahead with the rest of the army.
