    HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

    Hello Everyone,

Some years ago Bluebird Toys released Havok, a kind of poor mans warhammer aimed at young kids. It featured prepainted minis and I am trying to build up a collection. The problem is I cant find anything, anywhere on the web as regards a full product list. A few bits surface on eBay and there are some snippets here and there but nothing major.

Does anyone have any info on what was available, prefferably with box codes if you can so I can build up a list.

    Thankyou
    Rob

Got a box of it up in the loft, I'll have a look tomorrow for you. Should all be there if you're interested in trading for it.

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Threadmancy? I'm guessing its better than starting a new thread.

Well I have ammassed a large pile of havok bits and quite a few sealed box sets as well but I am still looking for a couple of the boxed sets that I havn't seen anywhere.

Does anyone have any Kai Unes, Borkain Mercenaries or Nexus Assault Troopers? I havn't seen any on any of the usual ebay or auction places. Even just pictures would be a help.

    Thanks

Ah, I remember Havok some of the artwork and minis from that would look awesome with modern sculpting standards.

Thanks for the heads up miner, The troops that came out of the tank were Nexus Stormtroopers, also super rare because you could only buy them with the tank, same with the Doomguard and Alto troopers. The assault troopers wear red helemts and carry big big guns. The Kai Unes are purple and have silver staves and the Borkians are yellow with wings, pistols and knives.

I did try posting pictures but warseer is being funny. Try here http://havok.wikia.com/wiki/Havok_Wiki

I found it while browsing and it had half a paragraph of text on it and that was all, So I updated it. I havn't seen any other Havok stuff on the web except a small pile of pictures on Boardgamegeek.

Nice link.I think some of the pictures are the ones that I scanned for someone awhile ago.The Havok story was in the 2000AD comic.I have them put away some place. Also might be able to get the Mauler Tank too.

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Maulers always welcome it took me ages to find one for the collection. According to the fluff Maulers operate in large units and the story in thier Data card has a unit of 40 going up against 3 battleforms. They destroy 2 of the battleforms for the cost of 34 Maulers.

I'll keep an eye on the eBay sellers stuff.

I've got a huge collection of these minis, loved the game to bits.
It became an obsession with my local gaming buddies as to who could find the rarest models after it was discontinued. I managed to get hold of thirty Borkian Mercenaries and one of the big blue tanks. I've got something like twenty battleforms, ten Maulers and around two hundred infantry models. Fantastic game!
I think it was orignally a comic strip in 2000ad.

Wow, thats a serious amount of stuff. I only have about 60 odd infantry, a mauler and hammer, 2 banshees and 6 battleforms. A picture of all your stuff would be awesome. If you ever need a new home for it don't hesitate to PM me!

I'm pretty sure it started in 2000AD, there was a crossover/intro booklet included in one of them that has a load of adverts for the game and some background on the units.

Did you have any of the Pretvore? The limited web resources say that the screamers and hounds were never released, neither were the Karn heavy weapons.

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

I'll try and get a group shot together next time I venture up in the loft. I got lucky in some respects as the starter set was being sold for four quid so I bought about ten sets worth and the infantry packs were about a quid each.
When I moved to Aylesbury I found that the same toy store was selling the stuff but had different infantry packs hence why I managed to snag so many Borkian Mercenaries and hordes of the Kharn Infantry guys. Seems like each store had a different batch of the models shipped to them.
It's a shame the Karn had so few vehicles. Out of about eight of us only one person managed to get a single pack of two Banshees.
I got hordes of Darkest Suns and Kharn troopers but never managed to get any Klan Warriors or Suma-kai. Got a load of 47th line, but only a few Nexus troopers, Nexus Assault Troopers and Kinsmen.
Great beer and pretzels game, we had massive battles with five or six hundred models on each side it was great!
I always wanted a proper stormtrooper unit though, think I've only got about three.
It was great fun collecting it though, whenever I traveled I tried to check any of the local Entertainer stores to see if they had any stock of rarer stuff.
Don't think I've got any Pretvore stuff though and definately no Karn Heavy Weapons. ;(

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

I got lucky getting my banshees and Hammer. I want more Alto Troopers, doomguard and Stormies, but it doesnt look good. I've also been picking up the starter sets dirt cheap on eBay, so I have a load of Suns/47th.

I got some razors boxed and a few more in a couple of warrior packs. They had a "free miniature" sticker on the front but instead of having another warrior they had a pretvore on a green base with no sticker. Brotherhood seem to be very hard to find, which is a shame because they look great.

Wow you've got some pretty impressive stuff there, I'm especially jealous of the Banshees. I remember when I found the Hammer tank.
I can't believe you've got Klan warriors though, I couldn't find them anywhere.

This is what I could quickly locate from the loft, there are another few boxes worth lurking up there somewhere but it's mostly maulers, dark suns and 47th line.

    Here's the first batch.

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Here's the next lot. I seem to missing eight Forms though as well as the other seven Maulers, I know they're up in the loft somewhere.
The 47th line were my favourite Nexus unit and the Nexus Assault Troops were the envy of my mates though.
We created variant Battle Forms for the Karn as they were always a bit under strength in the armour department. Most apocolypse sized games we played had as many as thirty Forms on each side.

Wow, thats a huge amount of stuff. The banshees make things alot fairer for the Karn, their speed is huge and because you can move and shoot, you can fly halfway across the table, blast soemthing and pop back in. The kits were pretty good too.

Very jelous of the Assault troopers and Borkians and you even have some Kai Unes. Nobody I have spoken too on the web has them, they must have been quite a short production run at the end of the games life, like the assault troopers.

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Yeah the Banshees are really nice models. A friend of mine bought two at argos during a clearance sale not knowing what they were and figured they'd be good for conversions.
Luckily we discovered the game shortly after and managed to stop him from hacking them up.
I found the Kai-Unes at the same time as the Borkians and the Nexus Assault Troopers, it's a shame there isn't a didcated forum to the game actually.
I'd love to acquire the rights to the game and release it as a metal minis game.

I got back into it through a forum to Bluebirds Manta force toys, I thought back to Havok, since when i was little I carved up most of mine to make Space marine dreadnoughts and Imperial Guard. I found the wiki page when I was searching for more info, but it only had a few lines so I put up some pics of my stuff.

I'm sure the rights got snapped up when Bluebird was sold off, the game disappeared into the mists of time.
