    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Bit slow on the reply as i found this post in a VERY round about way (was googleing something else entirly and lo a warseer post).

Ive got 2 boxes of the starter set and a bunch of other blisters in there at home on top of my shelf.

Pics once i get back there.

But from what i can remeber i have a bunch of those little red kharn guys that look a lot like Space marines with shields, and 4 big blokes with some kind of blaster and big axe. Theres also some of those green commando looking guys. My walkers got a bit orky in places.

*edit* a quick wiki reveals i have some Karn Troopers, Klan Warriors, Suma-Kai (x4), Nexus Troopers & Kinsmen and the contents of the boxed sets, probbaly none are truly mint condition, but there free to a good home.

Never found any of the vechiles (outside of the walkers in the starter boxes)

As it is the season of being jolly and giving, the contents of both boxes are up for grabs for free. pics then let the PM'ing begin (about 7pm GMT tongiht once i get off work).

Double post, i know but heres the pics of the pile.

    all of it:

    Nexus Foot Troopers:
    http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...8122008310.jpg

    The aliens rip off's:
    http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...8122008311.jpg

    Karn foot troopers:
    http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...8122008312.jpg

    The Battle Forms:
    http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...8122008313.jpg

    The big blokes:
    http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...8122008314.jpg

As you can see its a bit worse for wear in places, the Nexus battleforms severed for a long time as a pair of Ork dreaddies, and a few of them have been lighty painted in places.

Sadly since im at home in scotland anyone outside the UK may be a problem.

They look to be in great condition considering some of the models I have brought for this game from various places. I carved up a load of these when I was young and foolish to make dreadnaughts, IG and necromunda forces.

(sorry about the multiple PMs, my computer is being bad again)

I also have the cardboard buildings/rubble things somewhere, probably in my 40k mini terrain boxes.

*edit*The box-o-havoc loot is gone to a good home now, sorry to those that did not win but my Big Red Fate dice has spoken.

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Assault troopers? I Didn't realise there were any actually floating around. Oh and that Havok Wiki was set up by me, but I was in Ireland at the time with my Havok back in England so I couldn't really update it. Thanks to who-ever it was for contributing.

Btw I wouldn't mind those troopers, cus I haven't managed to get more than three of them on either army. But I have managed to collect ********s of tanks (both types) if anyone's interested. And of course I have lots of the Battle Forms.

I don't think the Karn heavy weapons and the other Pteravore models were ever actually released, so I'm guessing the small few that have survived (if any) are display models for the pictures on the back of the rulebook. I don't know anyone who's ever gotten hold of some.

Oh and big rob, i woudn't say the Brotherhoods are rare, as I have about 20 of them. Fancy a trade?

Doghouse, I'm so jealous of your Troopers. As I;ve said, I only managed to get for of a couple, but I do have a tonne of Klan Warriors if you feel like a swap?

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

I don't have any going, but there is plenty of eBay stuff about, usually 2-3 auctions a week for the basic stuff. Very difficult to get vehicles especially banshees though, very few of them about.

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

yeah, i have been checking recently and haven't seen anything. Any tips on how to find it, i usually just search "havok" or "skirmish battle set"

    any ideas?

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Search for "Havok" in every catagory and pick through the results. I won a pile of mint unopened boxed sets because they were listed in "Comics".

Then look for "Havoc" in toys and games. You can search comics too but there is alot to wade through. This has netted me a mint unopened Mauler in the past as well as other stuff.

"Skirmish battle set" and "Bluebird" are both worth the odd glance.

When I looked 3 days ago there was an auction for a large pile of assorted models including Kai Unes and Borkians, two copies of the boxed game and a complete collection of the comics.

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

BigRob - did you find the Skirmish pack by searching for Skirmish? I'm intrigued what search terms you'd use to find these minis.

    I'm assuming names?
Make a stand, cease your GW purchases, seek out new games and new miniature manufacturers. Expand your interest, stop being a 40ker and become a WARGAMER.

Spread the word, fight the power, become the signal.

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Common search terms I use are

    Havok
    Havoc
    Havok Skirmish Battle
    Karn
    Nexus
    Bluebird

Combinations thereof and then I try individual unit names. If your really patient and have the time on a weekend go for a browse through the "other miniature" catagories in wargames and roleplaying. I've picked up 10-15 randoms that way, often listed as "Sci Fi trooper" or "Big Fighting Robot"

Obviously Toys and Games is your first stop but keep an eye on comics and collectables as well. I got my MIB banshees listed in the comics section.

Sorry for the double post but people need to see this

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Set-of-33-Havo...1%7C240%3A1318

As well as selling a huge pile of different havok things look at this auction. The bottom picture, while blurry seems to show an unreleased Karn Heavy Weapons trooper with Heavy Slugger!

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Bugger, can't believe I missed that. You know, I get the feeling Havok is gonna get a lot more expensive now you've incensed a load more people to start looking for it again =P

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Hey Rob, Why did you tell the seller how rare that figure was, now he knows how valuable it is and is now charging a £10 starting price for it - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UNRELEASED-Kar...:B:SRCH:GB:101

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Because I was having a conversation with them about where they obtained it in the first place. Having never seen any and no other collectors I have spoken to having seen one either I was interested.

It's not a huge starting bid, I've seen far worse prices for things over the years. If thats not how much you want to pay for it then don't bid. One of the major problems with eBay today is that the majority of buyers want ti for a song, while the majority of sellers just charge inflated prices because they know someone will still buy it.

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Perhaps its a bit communist, but maybe we should agree on who's bidding on what we don't bid against each other futily. For example, i'd really like some troopers but i've more than enough of everything else. We could even trade privately afterwards. As i mentioned before, i have plenty on tanks, borkians, brotherhood and those big muscl guys on offer to anyone who has something they are in excess of. At the end of the day it makes things cheaper for us all.

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Unfortuantely Dantai, the auction with the Karn Heavy Weapon figure is on his own now. However the seller has relsited the Karn Troopers - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/32-Karn-Troope...:B:SRCH:GB:101

    Re: HAVOK Skirmish Miniatures

Yeah i see that. I'll be bidding on the troopers from both armies but the heavy weapons can stay where it is. One figur isn't worth that to me. Might repaint on of my devastators and use him for heavies.
