Just to double check;

when it says that the chainfist is treated like powerfist, that means it doubles the users strength?

So for armor penetration the highst role you can make is 20? (2d6 + strength)

If you are S4, then yes.

(8) + (2-12) = yes, with an average S of 15 for armor penetration (seven being the most average on 2d6).

Furious charge, and/or Tank hunter are distinct possibilities.

Definite overkill by that point...

I think it hits overkill at anything over 16 really....

But yes that would be correct, 20 being the highest excluding the use of furious charge, tank hunters.

Given that the most likely single outcome is 15 (average result of 2d6 is 7), it's not really overkill at all. It's just starting to become reliable vs the higher AV values.
