If GW made a minature of you...

would you paint it yourself, or hire someone professional to paint it? I started thinking about this when I was checking out LoTR miniatures and wondering if Viggo Mortensen has any models of Aragon laying around his house. I think I would paint myself, myself.

I'd never hire someone to paint my stuff. ESPECIALLY when it's meant to be an important miniature. Beyond that, the question of wether or not I'd like to have a miniature of myself (made by GW or any other company/person) is just senseless.

I would have to paint it myself, it's impossible for someone else to paint a model exactly how I'd want it without painting it first to show them, which ould defeat the object, lol.

Seriously, one of the current Questing Knights bears an uncanny resemblence to the way I look. One of my gamer friends pointed this out.

I did paint it myself.

I actually gave some of my battlefield leaders some of my distinctive features. generally based on the classic "Esher Juve with stub gun and pick"s head, whose hairstyle I nicked years ago.

No, but I do have a prominent forehead, sunken eyes, round nose, and square chin. That combination of features makes "hey, that looks like you" an easy comment to make.

Back when I had hair, people used to say the Marauder Giant looked exactly like me. I am happier with the Questing Knight comparison.

It's hard to say really. Would it be my current self or me in 20 years? Ether way I don't think I'd let anyone within ten feet of it. Of course I'd paint it with my own hands, and enter it in the open category of GD.

This really racks the mind in strange places. i feel as though I would have a duty to paint it, but at the same time I would want it to be perfect, which is impossible by the way. I might end up breaking it after hundreds of hours of painting. I hope it's not a vo-do doll, those crafty Eshin spies!

first I'd ask for the release form that I'd not signed (because I wouldn't), then I'd sue them for unlawful use of my trademarked likeness.

Now if the Perry twins or some other smaller company with a face (and soul not forged of blacker than black hate and vitriol) were to do it, I'd accept in a hart beat (as in the time required to beat a deer up)
