Still, those elves have to be out in the field, and not in their shops or farms. Might not be an issue for Swordmasters, Phoenix Guard and the like, but definitely an issue for spearmen and archers. And each one of those troops die means another resource in the economy that will not be able to take up the trade again.

The same would apply to the Dark Elves, because at least some of them must be civillians with normal civillian jobs at least some of the time, and you can't run an economy with slave labor alone. It simply can't be done.

Overseers and supervisors - though I'd keep strategic specialist trades and crafts restricted.
