Will admit that I have not read through all of this thread...
but curious, if the trend of upwards prices continues, if anyone thinks that GW will be able to stay afloat once a basic tank (Russ, Falcon, etc) retails above the $50 dollar mark? How about $75? $100? Even at the 40 dollar mark I don't even consider buying tanks new (I go used or I scratchbuild) I use 'basic tanks' as my point of comparison because they are something that is often 'needed' for a player, and cannot be split up into smaller purchases like a squad (which is still $15+ a pop)

I happened to vist the Sqaure One store last weekend because the Wife needed a few things and looked at the Blood Knights package. 5 Metal models for $110 CDN excluding tax? Could anyone tell me if they are made of silver or something precious because I don't see why its $110 CDN for 5 Figures and 5 Horses.

All models that the average player will only buy 1 or two of are expensive regardless of material cost. Eg 40k assassins, special characters etc *edit: I in no way condone the price though. When Blood knights were first released I immediately decided I didn't need any despite being a 15 year long Undead player and the models being very good.
